April 7, 200718 yr i bet this episode gets better ratings than last weeks 8.2 milion, i reckon about 9.3 this week. it looks like its gonna be a brilliant ep though doesent it??
April 7, 200718 yr I LOVE the period episodes of Doctor Who, theyre so much better than the space-travelling etc eps. Hope this is a gud un!
April 7, 200718 yr 'Autharrr, autharrr'!!! Loved this: 'You can go home and tell everybody youve seen Shakespeare!'- 'Yeah, and get sectioned'
April 7, 200718 yr I really enjoyed that episode ^_^ Laughed my socks off at the Harry Potter/JK Rowling references. Good storyline, decent effects and it kept me occupied. 8/10
April 7, 200718 yr Author I loved this episode so much, the dialogue was beautifully written for this episode, 10/10
April 7, 200718 yr Very disappointing. To my eyes it was an inferior reworking of the Charles Dickens episode .......................... The asylum looked like the same Hospital used in series one ....................................Another Armageddon reference. Maybe, it is just me, but the ideas and standard of writing on this show appear to be in decline. This episode seemed like it should be on CBBC. The witches were laughable. It probably does not help that I'm not a fan of Harry Potter with this episode. And since when did William Shakespeare look like Justin Lee Collins acting like a cross between Sharpe & Alan B'Stard? The highlight was recognising Super Hans from the Peep Show in the asylum. 5/10
April 7, 200718 yr Not bad, entertaining enough, but I can see where Thisispop is coming from to be honest... There was a little too much "CBBC"-ness about it, and it deffo wasn't as good as the Charles Dickens episode.... 6/10
April 7, 200718 yr I'm not usually a fan of the period episodes, but I liked this one :D Probably tempted to say 8/10, but next week looks a bit iffy
April 7, 200718 yr I'm not usually a fan of the period episodes, but I liked this one :D Probably tempted to say 8/10, but next week looks a bit iffy The first thing that sprang to my mind when I saw the trailer for next week was "Hmmmm, looks like "The Fifth Element".....
April 7, 200718 yr The first thing that sprang to my mind when I saw the trailer for next week was "Hmmmm, looks like "The Fifth Element"..... The Fifth Element is one of my favourite films ever, and I get where got that from (the car highways, flying taxis etc). Lets hope its not too much of a rip off!
April 7, 200718 yr Enjoyed tonight's episode, i am not keen on period episodes either, but this really changed my mind ^_^ Dean Lennox was a great Shakespeare ^_^ tbh i am not that keen on next week's either  From the "next time" it dodn't look really good, but that's just my opinion :D
April 7, 200718 yr I thought it was okay, it wasn't bad at all, just good family viewing. I'll give it 8/10. The behind the scenes show afterwards on BBC3 was interesting.
April 7, 200718 yr i will watch it again tomorrow but i wasnt impressed on first view, the story left too many ends untied but it doesnt lose marks for reggie yates being in it lol but freema is definetly very good, very impressed with her as the new assistant *updated* 8/10 Edited April 12, 200718 yr by 1Dave2006
April 8, 200718 yr The behind the scenes show afterwards on BBC3 was interesting. ooh yes, it makes you realise how much time goes into making the episode especially with all the CG effects in that episode
April 8, 200718 yr ^^^ Yes ^_^ it was, it didn't show how they created the special effects, but i liked it when they showed how long it took, and how they made the globe :)
April 8, 200718 yr This episode seemed like it should be on CBBC. I agree! I couldn't put my finger on it but there was something a little bit wrong about the whole episode, and that was it! It reminds me of the sort of trash I used to watch 10 years ago  Still, I enjoyed the Harry Potter references and the plot was interesting enough ^_^ 7/10
