Posted April 10, 200719 yr Timbaland heading for top spot 11 April 2007 - 10:22:42 Source: Music Week The Proclaimers look likely to lose their stranglehold on the top spot of the singles chart this week, with early retail reports showing they are being outsold by Timbaland and Mark Ronson. The best-selling single so far this week is Give It To Me, by Timbaland feat. Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake, which reached number eight in the official charts on Sunday following its digital release. Slightly behind is Mark Ronson feat. Daniel Merriweather, with their cover of the Smiths' Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before. It means The Proclaimers are on course to have their stay at number one brought to an end after two weeks. It also means Avril Lavigne’s Girlfriend looks unlikely to be a number one, after pushing The Proclaimers close. The highest new entry comes from Muse, with Invincible on course to debut just outside the Top 10. In albums, Kings Of Leon look set to make it a second week at number one, with Cascada and Take That in a very close race for the number two position. The highest new entry looks likely to be Bright Eyes’ Cassadaga, although it is being pushed close inside the Top 10 by Marillion’s Somewhere Else. ============================================ Singles 01 Timbaland feat. April 10, 200719 yr Author Hey Professor Oak, didn't have you down as a pokemon fan! You too can join the Pokemon Revival Society, just pick a Pokemon name
April 10, 200719 yr I think the Proclaimers will still be holding Mark Ronson off but it'll be very close. Arctic Monkeys to slip down to around about 19 before hitting the top 10 next week. I don't know anything about Pokemon.
April 10, 200719 yr I don't want to be a Pokemon anymore :( I was forced, FORCED I tell you. Anyway, Mark Ronson will be #1 I think, with Beyonce and Shakira hopefully Top 5 ^_^
April 10, 200719 yr i dont think the proclaimers will be number 1 i think it will be wither mark ronson, shakira and beyonce or timbland with avril lavigne at a long shot. i hope gareth gates doesnt flop to much top 20 or higher would be nice
April 10, 200719 yr What does everyone think about the album charts? A new number 1 maybe? :) Anna.XXXXXXX
April 10, 200719 yr Arctics should be top ten, should be top three at least physically next week though :D Grandwicky here btw.
April 10, 200719 yr Lol im thinking Timbaland will be up in the albums to around 6. Nelly at 7 and Cascada at 8. In the singles Im sticking with Ronson at 1 and Timbaland at 2 though Id like vice versa, then followed by Avril at 3 and Shayonce at 4 ;)
April 10, 200719 yr Btw, I'm Mikey, I joined the Pokemon Revival Society  check out the gaming forum for the latest. I wondered what was going on earlier when I saw the Gareth thread had been started by Professor Oak  I'm just hoping Gareth does reasonably well with this single, which I love, then releases something a little more upbeat for the second one. I'll be content if he makes the Top40 after such a long time away. I'd appreciate any news as soon as you have it Mikey :D
April 10, 200719 yr I think the amazing Mark Ronson for the top spot this week, or maybe even Beyonce/Shakira :o As long as it isn't Proclaimers anymore, I don't mind
April 10, 200719 yr I think it will Mark Ronson but I hope it will be Timbaland or even Beyonce/Shakira. :) Maybe Avril will climb, but very unlikely.
April 10, 200719 yr Author No update yet? :( *goes back to work* Its looking very unlikely due to Bank Holiday yesterday, so normal serices should resume tomorrow.
