Oh dear. The character of Jake has really been ruined. He's completely different to how he first started as a young, lively outgoing Jack-the-lad, as each day he grew more and more miserable. Now they're turning him into the new show pyschopath.

The problem is the writers are doing all this, whilst still expecting the audience to sympathise with him over the Charlie/Justin situation, and that's just not going to happen.

Apparently Kevin Sacre's contract ends in April and he will be leaving.. So maybe this is part of his exit storyline?

Which is a shame, as although the character has been completely trashed, Kevin Sacre has been one of the better actors on the soap for the past couple of years.

Anyone catch the latest ad? Whatshername, the one who's going off to London, tries to track down Andrew Lloyd Webber (sp?) ! Looks hillarious, can't wait!
Nah, it's a new one the one I'm on about. :P She stalks him.

Latest Hollyoaks star to leave:

DANCING On Ice hunk Chris Fountain is set to quit Hollyoaks after a £100,000 offer to skate on the show’s live tour.

Chris, 20, is exhausted as he juggles filming his scenes as Justin Burton for the C4 teen soap in Liverpool and rehearsing for the London-based ITV1 hit.

He has been given an ultimatum by Hollyoaks bosses – return to his £70,000-a-year job when the show finishes or leave.

They have refused to give him time off to do the planned tour and ITV’s lump sum offer looks likely to tempt Chris to leave the soap he joined in 2003.

A source said: “Chris has been juggling both shows. He’s been travelling loads and is shattered.

“He’s been told it’s the tour or Hollyoaks and now ITV have offered him £100,000 to stick with them. That’s the clincher.”

Marks

Chris and rink partner Frankie Poultney got the highest marks on Sunday night’s live show – which got 9.8million viewers – with 23.5 out of 24.

The actor’s most high-profile Hollyoaks storyline was when schoolboy Justin got his teacher pregnant. The scenes scooped Best Storyline at the 2006 British Soap Awards.

Hmm..not confirmed though.

I think he'd be mad to be honest. It's too early on in the skating competition to judge whether he'd be a big hit or not, and he's clearly been earmarked by Hollyoaks to be their future top dog, given the number of storylines he's been getting. And the live tour wouldn't last that long anyway would it?

Shoat, its all about the money thesedays for some people though...
why isn't his character locked up for lying about becca being a paedophile? i think i must have missed what happened to him after she died.
Yeah, I never understood how he got away with perjury, especially after he confessed. I must have missed a key episode or something.
He got let of by the police. He went in to the station, and they just gave him a caution or something. I can't really remember that far back. All I remember is Nancy wasn't none to pleased..

just a caution?

pfft.

just a caution?

He was only 17, so maybe they thought they'd let him off for being young and neive.

The actress who plays Summer will actually be playing Maria in The Sound Of Music!

Andrew Lloyd Webber has revealed that Hollyoaks actress Summer Strallen is to play Maria in the Sound Of Music, a move cemented 6 months ago, prior to Summers debut in the Channel 4 soap.

Blurring the lines of fiction and reality, Summer (who, to further confuse matters plays Summer in Hollyoaks), will be playing Maria in the west end show. All this week on the Channel 4 soap, Summer and OB have been stalking Andrew Lloyd Webber in an attempt to secure Summer an audition, and on Friday was finally successful.

Lloyd Webber is reportedly delighted that bluff has paid off and apparently finds it 'most amusing'.

Summer is the niece of Bonnie Lanford and is set to replace reality TV winner Connie Fisher later in February.

YAYYYYYYYYYYYY! Quite odd really though, so she got the part in SOM and then in 'Oaks and they negotiated with Lime Pictures to merge the real life with soap life ... confusing, but clever!

I do love Summer + O.B

I hope Niall is found out eventually, he is such a creep.
