39 :ne: Aha - Cosy Prisons

'Cosy Prisons', a slow building and epic pop ballad, is the second single lifted from the 80's superstars' "comeback" album, 'Analogue', following the title track which reached No.10 in February, delivering them their biggest chart hit for over a decade. - HMV

I must get that picture disc :D

'You're All I Have' marks the sensational return of Snow Patrol. Taken from the band's fourth studio album 'Eyes Open', this single is classic Snow Patrol except bigger, brighter and bolder than songs from the four times platinum 'Final Straw'. - HMV

Btw 103 users, not far off the record which was set last Sunday (109).

20 :ne: Richard Ashcroft - Music is power

http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/CDR6688.JPG

The second single to be taken from Richard Ashcroft's hit new album 'Keys To The World', 'Music Is Power' is an upbeat, feel-good soul song built around an inspired Curtis Mayfield sample. With 'Keys To The World', his third album post The Verve, Ashcroft is currently enjoying the most successful period of his solo career. 'Break The Night With Colour', the first single, entered the charts at No. 3 and stayed in the Top 20 for four weeks, and 'Keys To The World', released in January, has already gone platinum. - HMV

Bit disappointing for Ashcroft, although it hasn't had much airplay has it? Well not tv anyway I haven't even heard it.

Wow, a rarity a song done entirely in spanish makes the top 40 and it's not a novelty song

I was referring to the song by Juanes by the way.

Might replace "Run" as the group's biggest hit.
