These are the views of the people on the popjustice forum, talking about the Out Of Control vid:

"That's got to be the sh!ttest video out this year!"

"...almost makes Girls Aloud's videos look like they cost more than £10 to make."

"It really is sh!t. And not just slightly sh!t. It's really really sh!t."

"I love how so many good songs in the UK are murdered by their sh!t ass videos."

"There are really no words to describe that mass of sh!t."

"Is it too late to shoot another video?"

"I knew the video would be terrible, but did it have to be THAT terrible?"

"It's beyond tragic!"

"Well, that was sh!t."

"I can't help myself thinking that this is not a real thing! It cannot be the real video!"

So as you can see, most people think it's sh!t  This is what Popjustice themselves had to say about it:

We think some of this is a bit harsh and that the video was probably not made with 'us' in mind. The brief was probably something along the lines of "please open Mutya up to teenage girls who think she's a moody b**ch - have her smiling in the sunshine or something".

Now correct us if we're wrong but the so-called 'festival' theme is highly unconvincing for a number of reasons.

*No Bacardi branding anywhere to be seen.

*No mud.

*Lots of sun.

*No sight of anybody 'putting a brave face on it' when all they want to do is go home and watch it on the television.

*Nobody standing in the middle of a huge lake of $h!t, quietly weeping.

*Nobody dropping drugs in the mud.

*No footage of supposedly 'humble' farmers rolling around in piles of cash at their farmhouse while over 100,000 punters freeze in their tents.

*Nobody with food poisoning.

*There is some actual good music playing, ie 'Song 4 Mutya' by Groove Armada featuring Mutya Buena, previously one third of multi-platinum UK girlgroup Sugababes and now a successful solo artiste in her own right with one Top 10 single already under her belt in the shape of the Lenny Kravitz-sampling 'Real Girl'.

Because there was'nt the technology like there is today and music video's didnt really play a big part until late 80's.

IMO - its not too bad though, saw it on tv this morn.

Videos dont really need to play a big part do they
A good vid helps... If people like the vid, the song will grow on them aswell :)

Videos do play a bigger part than is first obvious; why else do all video-less songs fail to make the top 10? The best performing one without a vid of recent times was Kelis' 'In Public', which got to #16.
I don't think the quality of the video will make it less popular, I mean take Fergie's ''Big Girls Don't Cry'' video for example :P
