Posted July 11, 200718 yr The Enemy set to top albums chart 10 July 2007 - 11:20:39 Source: Music Week The albums chart looks set to see four new entries into the top five this week, with The Enemy’s We’ll Live And Die In These Towns (Warner Bros) set for the top spot. Interpol’s Our Love To Admire (Capitol) looks likely to take the number two slot, while Smashing Pumpkins’ Zeitgeist (Reprise) and Cherry Ghosts’ Thirst For Romance (Heavenly) could fight it out for third and fourth place with just 700 sales between them, according to early sales reports. The Chemical Brothers’ We Are The Night (Virgin) could slip out of the top five, as will the Travelling Wilburys’ Collection (Rhino), which has been in the top three for the past four weeks. New entries look likely to come from New Young Pony Club with Fantastic Playroom (Modular) and The Complete Collection from Il Devo (Syco Music). Meanwhile Rihanna’s Umbrella, featuring Jay-Z (Def Jam), should stay atop the singles chart for its ninth consecutive week. Fergie’s Big Girls Don’t Cry (A&M) could climb six places to number two, pushing Kate Nash’s Foundations (Fiction) into third place, but with just 30 unit sales between them it will be close. Arctic Monkey’s Fluorescent Adolescent (Domino) is destined for the Top 10 and looks set to become the week’s highest new entry, followed by Bloc Party’s Hunting For Witches (Wichita). The Foo Fighters’ Best Of You (RCA) should be the highest climber, having already jumped more than 150 places to 21. Older singles by Lily Allen, Supertramp and Take That, bolstered last week by appearances at the Diana Memorial Concert, look set to drift out of the Top 75. ============================================= Singles 01 Rihanna feat. July 12, 200718 yr where exactly Song For Mutya is? How far from top 20? Two places outside the top 20.
July 12, 200718 yr Wow, I'm really happy for how much Natasha's album has climbed! :D Helped by the £6.97 Tesco price tag for the CD! :yahoo:
July 12, 200718 yr I hope Fergie can get #02 by Sunday ^_^ Does anyone know how far Super Mal are off Top 20?
July 12, 200718 yr Helped by the £6.97 Tesco price tag for the CD! :yahoo: I don't see that as a reason to celebrate, it just goes to show has poorly its sold that they're selling it at a discount after only two months on release. I guarantee that as soon as the offers over she'll sink like the proverbial stone ;)
July 12, 200718 yr Super Mal are 23+1 That's not too bad considering they're not doing amazingly on downloads :D
July 13, 200718 yr Best Of You? WTF? I mean, I love the song, but that song charted in the US like 2 years ago. O.o
