Just checked my sky listings for next week and Rte 2 are showing Neighbours here in Ireland in its original time slot of 6pm which it was in before, it's also been shown on rte 1 our main channel at 2pm daily. Really happy with this.

Oh wow at that episode,

I really didn't expect that ending twist - how on earth? The two characters barely used to interact but I guess we'll find out how it came to be in the 'two years' that have passed

Also lots to unpick

like Harold having memory issues...and presumably they are going to undo Jane and Mike's reunion after a London visit??

Watched the new ep this morning and overall I enjoyed it. The music felt a bit heavy handed at times, but was good to try and work out what has happened in the last 2 years (timejump).

The new family seemed alright and a good dynamic... also intriguing to see the JJ story continue/ see where it goes.

The ending wasn't too much of a shocker as I'd read some spoilers, but it was built up well.

Wow, great opener, with the twist at the end, that went over my head. Had to give it a second showing to unravel bits and pieces of the episode, my guess the kid JJ has got some family links to the last to one of the two pictures at the bottom of the book. Toadie's 2 youngest kids have been recast apparently, brief glimpse of them towards the end.
I'm in 2 minds about the return episode, few surprise faces I didn't expect and there is a little bit of figuring out who's who, the twist at the end I'm not sure of yet, il have to see how it plays out. I liked the opening nice nod to the years gone by and also the ",final,"!! Episode.

I really enjoyed that. Very familiar yet fresh at the same time. The twist was spoiled for me but even then they’re going to have to put a lot of work into selling it over the next few weeks.

It’s going to be great having it back, it still doesn’t quite feel real!

My jaw dropped at that ending!! I've managed to avoid all spoilers so that helped

Really enjoyed the entire episode outside of there being too much music, so I hope they calm down with that.

Harold..

The wedding twist feels so random, but then it is two very popular enduring characters so it could work! It might be a really good fresh dynamic, but it’s definitely going to have to be a focal point that has enough work put into it.

Nice to have this back but it felt a bit on the nose revival/reboot in a way, but I think they had to really with the time skip and some recasts/new characters. The time skip is a really good idea tbh, it means they can make fairly big changes and it leaves us hanging with when they’re going to fill in the gaps of what has happened, for example with David/Aaron/Nicolette gone. I like that it’s made the Rodwells just slot in too so they feel established even though we didn’t see them much before the axe.

Amazon Prime, it’s under the Freevee umbrella so you don’t need to pay for Prime to watch it

Seems a bit like Melanie has been thrown under the bus, she made a great stepmum to Toadie's kids. I thought she was part of the permanent returning cast but she's not in the new opening credits, I wonder how her story will play out

Oh right. Might have to watch it on my phone, but I should be able to get it. Can't wait to see Marissa!!!

Ok, I’ll bite. Who is Marisa? Michael keeps mentioning her and I can’t find anyone of that name.

I love that the Rodwells got a reprieve. Wendy is an icon on the making so ending the show just as she started felt unfair.

2 episodes in and I'm still on the fence. I think I'm struggling as there are so many new faces that I need to get to know.
Mischa Barton's character in The OC was called Marissa.

I see, I never watched the OC. Is it that hard just to call her Mischa?
