Starring Helen Mirren is on ITV next Sunday at 9pm. Saw it in the cinema and can highly recommend it. She takes a great part.

This premieres on TV already?! :o I'm sure it used to be YEARS before a film made normal TV.

Already? :blink: That must be the fastest a film released in the cinema has ever gone to TV (not including Sky Channels obviously) :huh:

wasnt this film only out last year in cinemas? i guess its cuz of the 10 year aniversary of diana, but i cant see many people buying the dvd now they know its on telly :lol:

On the ads it says it's an ITV production, so maybe they have exclusive rights?

It's about to start. Got great reviews so I'm going to watch. ^_^

Helen Mirren is a bloody fantastic actress.

I watched this last night and thought it was very, very interesting.

 

However, I am informed that the Queen herself was given a pre-release screening of the film and she loved it. Which if you actually watch the film you'll see she's portrayed to be a right b**ch. Surely the Queen wouldn't have loved it and given it her blessing if it wasn't accurate? Then at the same time, she wouldn't admit to being a cow. How confusing. :wacko:

I thought this was really good. :D It was on TV so quickly because it was originally going to be a TV film on ITV1, so Granada/ITV had had a hand in producing it or something. It got 7.9m viewers as well, which is pretty impressive. :D

Great film. Helen Miram was amazing. Just like what you'd think the Queen would be like. Loved Tony Blair in it :lol:
