Can anyone tell me which stores' sales (especially online stores) count towards the UK album and singles charts?

Also if you can tell me which online stores definetely don't count towards the UK charts that would be good too!

Thanks!

HMV.com is shipped from Guernsey, do they count?

Download sites that submit sales data for inclusion in the chart are -

HMV, Tesco Downloads, Virgin Digital, I-Tunes, 7 Digital, Xpress Beats, BeatPort, Napster, Woolworths, Wippit, Easy Music, The Music Engine, Karma Download, Bleep.

Retail stores vary but the following do submit data -

HMV, Virgin, Woolworths and most independent retailers.

Hope that helps :)

No I don't think Play.com do as they ship from Jersey.

Also CD-WOW deffinitely don't count as their most US Imports anyway (no bonus tracks - most the time)

so does play.com or not? x

Neither Play.com or CD Wow submit sales data for inclusion in the charts.

does that rule out HMV.com?

Thanks everyone. So does Amazon.co.uk count for sales - and what about hmv.com?
Last I heard, hmv.com does count. I read it on an OCC PDF or something like that!

amazon.co.uk do count.

hmv.com online I believe are off shore and therefore don't count. Buying from an HMV stores of course is fine ;)

Which retailers contribute sales data to the chart?

'The retailers on the Chart Panel include all the major high street chains such as HMV, WH Smith, Virgin and

Woolworth’s, Supermarkets such as Tesco and Asda, as well as a large number of Internet Retailers such as Play and

Amazon. Major digital Music retailers such as iTunes, Napster, eMusic and mobile download providers like 3 and

Orange are also a valuable part of the Chart Panel.'

On that document there is a HMV.co.uk logo which suggested the site counted as does its high street store... maybe people interpret it differently... anyway check out the document.
