Well, [bonaroo]it was my last ever show. And it still is. I stopped touring after that and I didn’t want to make music again. I was quite happy to just leave it all behind. I was happy with what I had achieved. Now, with the success of “Paper Planes,” there’s pull for me to make another record. Even my mum believes in me more [laughs]. It’s a nice encouragement. But I was planning my life as a fishing woman on the outskirts of Cambodia. That’s a joke.

I reckon this could do quite well tbh and I quite like the song, but much prefer Jimmy. The rest of the album bar Bamboo Banga and $20 is hideous though imo.

I really hope this does well, she deserves it muchly. I don't think she had an intention of retirement tbh...Maybe i'm wrong but sometimes she seems so full of $h!te :lol:

I don't adore her material, i just liked her because of Paper Planes, her lyrics are awesome (although i understand not that much :heehee: ), the music is great.

Ooh that's good considering that I don't know if it's being (re?)released here. :o I think it could be a big hit if airplay gets behind it, right now I think it's looking at somewhere between #40 and #50 if it continues to sell from the advert but it could go top 20 I think.

earlier in the year when I was still a student (:cry:) we had a whole lesson on MIA in my 'Media and Music' class...it was amazing, but I was the only one who had heard of her before the lesson :nocheer:
