UK Singles Chart are known for making many new entries each week, especially in high places.

So, just wondering, were there ever a time where ten songs have made Top 10 new entries altogether?

Also, since there will be a "big chart battle" next week, do you think it will happen (if it never did)?

You mean, all the top 10 singles were new entries? No, that's not happened. I believe the most is top 6.

I doubt it would ever happen either, especially due to songs charting on downloads at different times

I remember once 7 songs entered in the top 10 but can't remember when. (I think 2000 or 2001)
I think the most was 8 before Downloads began, but it will never happen now, with donwload entries.
I remember the week where about 6/7 entered it was the; Eminem - Just Lose It, Destiny's Child - Lose My Breath, Britney - My Prerogative, Xtina - Car Wash, Usher - My Boo, Michael Gray - The Weekend & Jamelia - Stop/DJ all entered the top 10 ^_^ that was about 7 im not sure if Destiny's Child were out that week or not.

You used to get 7 new entries in the top 10 per week during early 00s and stuff but that's the most there's ever been in the top ten in any one week.

The most is top 6 I think and that was start of 2005

01. Ciara

02. Elvis

03. Chemical Brothers

04. Athlete

05. Feeder

06. Lucie Silvas

Wouldn't the first chart EVER count as all new entries though?

Was it only something like a top 5?

A Brand new top6 with 7 new entries in the top10 happened before that, in 2000.

7 has happened a few times in the past (1997 had it twice I think), but the way the chart works now it would be very unlikely to happen now.
yes i remember, Brandy- Afrodisiac was 11 no?
I really doubt the whole top10 will enter as new entries. Sales arent that high right now and that would mean the no10 single would need to sell more than 25k to beat the sugababes next week
