November 23, 200717 yr The beginning & ending are cut off this track that was played on Radio 6 Music for the first time today, but you'll get the vibe: 6-jOEb0rN3Q Kate Bush - Lyra An absolutely stunning return by Britain's Greatest Ever Female singer/songwriter with a track from THE Hollywood Xmas Blockbusting Movie of 2007 "The Golden Compass". One thing is certain, it is a million times better than the 2007 Xmas #1 (a cover of Mariah Carey/Whitney Houston's When You Believe).

November 23, 200717 yr I would really hope that Rhydian doesn't win XFactor I just do not like him at all, to me it's like he's hiding behind a costume with his hair and make up, where has all the rest don't have a this armour plus I think Rhydian is bad for pop music he's more for theatre and wasn't good enough to be Joseph. I would like the Sugababes to be number 1 or the Spice Girls but some novelty would be a good laugh to make the christmas number 1 fun again and not boring with xfactor xfactor xfactor!!!!
November 26, 200717 yr Author Does anyone know the release date of the Strictly Come Dancing song 'Let's go Dancing!'? According to the Sunday Mirror, Alesha will probbly sing it and they're planning to take on Simon Cowell for Xmas number one.
November 26, 200717 yr I think these have a chance at being no.2: Highest Chance: Shaun The Sheep Sugababes Soulja Boy Amy Winehouse X Factor Winner (that'll probably no.1 Of course) Cascada Alesha with the SCD theme tune? I don't think anyone else will take it though.
November 26, 200717 yr Author Yes, agree with those but someone said Shaun the Sheep might come with a poster thereby making it ineligible. Not sure if this was confirmed though.
November 26, 200717 yr I still think those of you ignoring the theme song from THE $200 million+ costing Xmas Hollywood blockbuster movie of 2007, "The Golden Compass" could be making a mistake.

But its not a single - unless you can show me proof otherwise I have asked you at least twice before It will be available to download from the soundtrack album, yes but that's not gonna get her a big hit
November 26, 200717 yr Yes, agree with those but someone said Shaun the Sheep might come with a poster thereby making it ineligible. Not sure if this was confirmed though. posters are allowed, provided they can be folded to fit inside the packaging
November 26, 200717 yr But its not a single - unless you can show me proof otherwise I have asked you at least twice before It will be available to download from the soundtrack album, yes but that's not gonna get her a big hit Rubbish. Look at the facts, last week over 90% of singles sales towards the charts were from legal downloads. There have been several Top20 hit singles which have never had a physical release. Girls Aloud grabbed a Top10 spot with a download only available from their album. Currently Christina Aguilera is back in the iTunes Top20 as a result of Hope massacring Hurt on X-Factor. I could go on & on & on with several other examples, but the hard fact is that the Physical single is dying. Why else would Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars in its umpteenth week be able to outsell Duran Duran's Falling Down in its first? As for Kate Bush, in Nov 2005 before downloads counted towards the chart, 17,000 people downloaded This Woman's Work in one week 16 years after it was first released after it was featured in the British ITV drama Walk Away and I Stumble. If it had counted towards the chart it would have grabbed the #8 spot. 93,000 people bought her album Aerial in its first week. She has a fanatical fanbase that will either buy the soundtrack album or the song and as the movie will be all over the country & the media very soon, then you can guarantee there will be huge interest.

A top 20 single is not a Christmas number 2 as you are predicting Yes GA scored a #9 hit with 15000 sales - after an appearance on the X-Factor and a strong singles-buying fanbase 15000 isn't gonna get Kate Bush a #2 at Christmas in anyone's imagination I'd love to know where you got the 17000 figure for Kate Bush from - the #8 download single now doesn't even sell 17k never mind 2 years ago when the number 1 was lucky to sell 17k She was at 8 on the download chart - that doesn't equal 8 on the combined chart, she would have been very much lower Edited November 27, 200717 yr by ManicKangaroo
November 27, 200717 yr Yes GA scored a #9 hit with 15000 sales - after an appearance on the X-Factor and a strong singles-buying fanbase Strong-buying fans always buy the physical CDs, they do usually not download it. If so, "I think we're alone" and "Sexy! No no no" would have not missed the top40 on downloads.
November 27, 200717 yr Isn't it obvious that Soulja Boy is going to be Christmas No. 2? I wish it wasn't going to happen but it clearly is - quite possibly the worst song to ever chart at Christmas. :puke2:
November 27, 200717 yr Unfortunately I agree with you Superbossanova - Soulja Boy will be bought in droves and everyone will wonder in unison just who is buying it.
November 27, 200717 yr apparently xfactor is being released the week after xmas I thought that was a rumour that's proved to be wrong! :(
