November 11, 200718 yr 18 (from 17) Robyn - Handle Me [P] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1751222.JPG Chart Run: 43-17-18 [3 wks] Release date: 29-10-2007 Availability: in stock Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: 1751222 Label: ISLAND Robyn follows her number one single 'With Every Heartbeat' with 'Handle Me', a track as feisty as pop songs come. Full of hip hop flavoured attitude and with a chorus that should be heard across schoolyards for months to come, 'Handle Me' is taken from her silver selling, eponymous album 'Robyn'. Since the demise of the Spice Girls, "girl power" is perhaps a term that should be used sparingly, but Robyn is it personified. An ass-kicking blond woman, who blasted through the industry bullsh*t and made startling, profound, honest pop music all of her own. And new single ‘Handle Me’ is just this and more. - HMV Video here: x4UHNhVSrEM track listing 1. Handle Me 2. With Every Heartbeat-With Kleerup [Acoustic Version] 3. November 11, 200718 yr That looks odd. for a number 20 single it is too low Radio 1 unimpressed by Spice Girls track Saturday, November 10 2007, 14:20 GMT By Daniel Kilkelly The Spice Girls' comeback track 'Headlines' has been branded "not strong enough" by Radio 1's playlist team. Despite the hype surrounding the girls' forthcoming world tour, their new song is receiving just one play per day on the station after bosses decided to give it C-list status. Radio 1's Head of Music, George Ergatoudis, told The Mirror: "The opinion of the Radio 1 playlist team is that the song isn't strong enough. "Clearly there's a huge number of Spice Girls fans out there - look at the tickets they have sold. But 'Headlines' is very disappointing. The song simply isn't strong enough.. it would have been a B-side in their heyday." 'Headlines' became available for download last weekend and it is expected to debut at number twenty in the UK singles chart after selling just over 4,900 copies. A source close to the Spice Girls admitted: "They wanted it to be a surefire No.1 on downloads alone but it has failed to connect with the public."
November 11, 200718 yr Safe #1 on the back of CIN show. :) Still really surprised that the much anticipated "biggest come-back of the year" only manages to make #20 on downloads... maybe not that much anticipated at the end? It is the first week of downloads, it's still got a whole week left of downloads before the release.
November 11, 200718 yr Sugababes did #1 on downloads alone with AYN, Girls Aloud did #5 on downloads alone with SKO... and SG did #20 on downloads alone with Headlines... Please stop to say $h!t Sugababes entered at 32 in the firs week with AYN, Girls Alound entered about 60 with Sexy No No No, and the Spice Girls are 20.Anyway they are the best female group of all the time and have 9 number #1s! So sad that girls aloud only have three ^^ So please shut up.
November 11, 200718 yr Author So, who is buying Leona's album and who is buying Spiceys album tomorrow then?

November 11, 200718 yr Very good! Only down 1 for Robyn. It's a shame though she couldn't get into the top 10.
November 11, 200718 yr 20 Spice Girls - Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) [D] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/HEADCD100.JPG Chart Run: 20 [1 wk] Release date: 18-11-2007 pre-order now Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: HEADCD100 Label: VIRGIN No other 1990s all-female teen-pop dance group enjoyed as much success and popularity as the Spice Girls. With each member going by a personality-fitting name (Scary Spice, Sporty Spice, etc.), the Spice Girls were the subject of a merchandising frenzy which led to their own movie, 1997's SPICE WORLD. After Geri Halliwell left, the group managed to put one more album in 2000 before dissolving into a sea of solo projects and tell-all autobiographies. After several years of maintaining publicity but dwindling commercial impact the band announced, in summer 2007, that they would re-unite--with all five original members--for a greatest hits album, plus a tour, THE RETURN OF THE SPICE GIRLS. - HMV Video here: WcAlA4iY_kY track listing 1. Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) [Radio Version] 2. Wannabe [soul Seekerz 2007 Remix] Prediction Thread Here Well, The Spice GIrls are back and right now Melanie G or is it C has been very busy as a finalist on Dancing With The Stars in which she is one of five remaining finalists left in this season's tournement which includes Marie Osmond and one of former cast members of 90210. Also except for "Stop" every tune the Spice Girls was released in their career has hit #1. My guess is this might be one in 2 weeks from now.

Sugababes entered at 32 because a remix of it was released on I-Tunes a week prior to the Radio Edit being made available for download. And they may have been in their time, but this just proves that Sugababes and Girls Aloud have raised the bar! Headlines is very weak! No hook to the chorus-bad Pop!

Together with the main song their single was number 1 on downloads alone the following week.
