November 11, 200718 yr I'm surprised Nicole managed to make it Top 15, pleased though, I like the song.
November 11, 200718 yr Author They didn't play a westlife track! :kink: Good, if they had, I may have lapsed into a coma :(
November 11, 200718 yr Oh to be so young and innocent! I wish I was. Jake Thackray was (he's dead now) a musical comedian in the vein of Jasper Carrot (but much better - Jasper Carrot used to use a lot his material in his act). I was browsing in HMV for an album that my husband may like for Christmas as a stocking filler (yes - I know he'd rather have a female member of Hollyoaks but I can't afford that!) So he'll have to make do with Jake Thackray. Don't tell me! You're too young to remember Jasper Carrot (oh I feel so ooooooolllllldddddd) Norma THE Jake Thackery??!. lol, I remember him from when I was a kid!. Had a very disticntive quirky voice. I think Victoria Wood's songs was very influenced by him. some Jake http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaSKICzeTaE Edited November 11, 200718 yr by Olympus
November 11, 200718 yr Jasper Carrott is a comedian, and was big in the 80s  he also had a chart hit in the 70s with Funky Moped. I'm sure he presented Goldenballs and was in that funny comedy All About Me?
November 11, 200718 yr Good, if they had, I may have lapsed into a coma :( Don't leave me alone :o
November 11, 200718 yr Nicole left it far too late, it was top35 at one time, would've been low top10 I think
November 11, 200718 yr Author I'm sure he presented Goldenballs and was in that funny comedy All About Me? He was in a sitcom, I think. Don't leave me alone :o  I will be ok until they play Home later
November 11, 200718 yr He was in a sitcom, I think. I will be ok until they play Home later  I do really like Home. Maybe I should be put down?
November 11, 200718 yr Blackout 2-13 :( Britney Spears was robbed of a #1 this past week when Billboard allow sales of the Eagles' new album to be used at the last minute even though it only selling it at Wal-Mart and because the album sold 3 times more they Brit's new album.
November 11, 200718 yr 13 Elvis Presley - In The Ghetto [P] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697125222.JPG Original Chart Run (1969): 36-9-5-2-2-2-4-4-5-11-16-20-21-28-42-43-xx-xx-50 [17 wks] Chart Run: 13 [1 wk] Release date: 5-11-2007 in stock Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: 88697125222 Label: RCA "Before Elvis, there was nothing," John Lennon once said. An overstatement, of course, but Elvis Presley's ascendance to superstardom in the mid-1950s kicked off a musical and social revolution whose impact has yet to abate. After the charming young man from Tupelo, Mississippi was discovered by Sun Records honcho Sam Phillips, the wise studio owner took Presley under his wing, leading to the landmark recording of his first single, "That's All Right (Mama)." The rest, of course, is well-documented history, with Elvis going on to conquer the pop charts, the box office, and beyond. He truly was the King, and his blend of country, pop, and R&B became the cornerstone of rock & roll. - HMV Video here: zmVFnhO3A98 track listing 1. In The Ghetto 2. Any Day Now 3. In The Ghetto [Alt. Take 3]
