 Australians have banned Santas from saying "HO HO HO" stating this scares kids. They have been told to say "HA HA HA" instead. They have been told if they wish to say HO HO HO they must say it timidly to the kids.

Kids want Santa Claus, not F****** Alan Partridge Impersonators. What Next.

Actually, I thought for a minute it was banned because of Gangsta Rappers using the word "Ho" to denigrate women, and it might teach kids bad language or summat....

That would actually make slightly more sense than the real reason tbh.... Santa saying "HO HO HO" is scary????? Oh come on ffs..... Are Aussie kids such shrinking violets....?

Why is Ho Ho Ho any scarier than Ha Ha Ha?
But this isn't even political correctness? It's ridiculous
I'd be more scared seing a 60-Year Old Santa dressed in a big red suit, chanting "HA HA HA HA HA" whilst the little kid is on his lap. :kink:  But then, HO isn't exactly the best words to be teaching to a kid.
Ugh... Some people are so stupid these days <_< What the f*** is wrong with 'Ho Ho Ho'?? 'Ha Ha Ha' has always seemed quite scary to me
And i thought it was just England that suffered from this kind of c**p.
i was expecting something like HO HO HO was too offensive because it sounds too much like "HOE HOE HOE"

thats CRAZY

Hahaha - in a certain tone sounds dead scary aswell!

Why get rid of ho ho ho - its like a tradition!

This won't last long, so many people are already complaining at the change, it will hopefully be a one off type thing.

Actually no Santa can sit a child on their lap anymore in England.

A sad state of affairs, but, unfortunately understandable given the times we now seem to live in..... -_-

Wow, Christmas has fallen victim to the properties of being politicaly correct.

This is nonsense and not true, one consultancy group recommended Ho Ho Ho be changed to Ha Ha Ha, as the word Ho may be offensive to some, and because it may scare young children, but Australians have not banned it, if anything they have laughed at the suggestion

Yeah its only one company 'Westaff' that has changed to Ha Ha Ha. The majority of shopping centres will still have the traditional Ho Ho Ho.
