November 18, 200718 yr This song is SOOOO good  Potential #1 next week I'm not sure. I think it will be one of them songs that will do well, and sell well, but not actually hit the top.
November 18, 200718 yr This might be beginning to grow on me, even though it sounds about 7 years out of date.

November 18, 200718 yr 33 Lahayna - In The City [D] http://www.wippit.com//images/songs/Lahayna~InTheCity~2.jpg Chart Run: 33 [1 wk] Release date: 11-11-2007 Loose Cannon Recordings Lahayna are making everyone sit up and take notice. They have managed to craft an authentically vintage sound based upon catchy grooves and excellent musicianship, whilst maintaining relevance to today’s ever changing fashionista indie scene. After seeing them live, DJ Wylie said: “They’ve managed to take the melodic, soulful elements of the Motown sound and blend it with the swagger and stage presence of The Rolling Stones. then they’ve got that youthful exuberance and social relevance that reminds me of when bands like the Jam and The Libertines first broke into the mainstream. That’s when you know a band have something special.” With an album scheduled for summer 2008 and their debut single “In The City” already getting national airplay it won’t be long before Lahayna’s tag as “the next big thing” is the worst kept secret in music. - www.lahayna.co.uk Video here: PrOi13CwONU Hopefully a sign of better things to come for this act, Also I wonder what the studio version of the song sounds like. Also if this band scored a few more hits in the near future I wouldn't be surprised if this song gets re-issued.
