Posted November 19, 200717 yr Take That, Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys and Boyzone are some of the bands who have recently got back together, who do you think will be next?
November 19, 200717 yr i hope abba... or bardot lol loved them (were the hottest group around after popstars tv show)
November 19, 200717 yr i hope abba... Apparently, they've said that not even a billion dollars will see them reform.
November 19, 200717 yr I expect Steps soon :( Lisa Scott-Lee is expecting and in panto (oh yes she is!), Claire is fat still and has recently had a child so I imagine it won't be for a while yet... thankfully. S Club Nope, Jon and Hannah said they don't keep in touch with any of the others and would never reform.
November 19, 200717 yr S Club or Steps I PRAY. The Beatles (OK, so they're two members down and Ringo was never really the best drummer in the Beatles, let alone the world - but surely anything's got to be better than Paul McCartney's solo stuff lately!) Suggestions for a new rhythm and lead guitarist? Norma
November 19, 200717 yr Nope, Jon and Hannah said they don't keep in touch with any of the others and would never reform. they are the worst two (aswell as Tina) and didn't really do much anyway -_- i would quite happily fill in for one of them :o :heehee:
November 19, 200717 yr Will and Gareth. suggy I know you're in a mischevious mood today but don't even joke about it. :P Edited November 19, 200717 yr by truly talented
November 19, 200717 yr Hopefully no-one. All the pop band that split up or parted ways will be rememberd in the long run for being good at making pop music when they were about. Take That's comeback was only big because they'd re-invented themselves to adapt to the current market - if they didn't do that, then I doubt their comeback would be as big as it has been. The hype around the Spice Girls has been massive yet they've pretty much flopped considering how big they were in the 90s. Steps, S Club etc. would be exactly the same, only they'd flop a hell of a lot worse.

Suggestions for a new rhythm and lead guitarist? Norma Sorry to be pedantic (and factually correct) but Paul's latest album Memory Almost Full has been his best selling studio album in 24 years. Whilst it received rave reviews (4.5 Stars in Rolling Stone Magazine & Billboard magazine & 5 Stars in All Music Guide, etc). And in America you can get odds of just 8/1 of it winning the Grammy Album of The Year award in 2008. It sold more copies in one week in America than his (bloody awful) 2001 album "Driving Rain" sold in total. Getting to your point, seeing as The Who have lost their bassist & drummer, then maybe Paul & Ringo should hook up with Pete Townsend & Roger Daltrey. But I can see 2008 being "Reforming is so last year"; therefore I can foresee some major acts splitting up. Besides if Led Zeppelin reform for a new album, then what is the point anyone else reforming because it just wont be as good (as the Spice Girls (unfortunately) are proving).

You see this is why I love you TIP! Its your little pedantic quibbles - you crack me up! Just because its a brilliant selling album doesn't necessarily mean its any good. And I have long since lost respect for the American taste in music anyway. I remember years ago (about 30 in fact) the yanks went absolutely 'ballistic' when they believed that ELO had lip-synched to a concert in (LA I believe) - the furore was on a prime-time Radio 1 music review show. They hadn't of course but they had used a heck of a lot of backing tracks (as surely the word 'orchestra' may have indicated it would do). And now - in 2007 - the Spice Girls can mime for a 45 minute slot and the yanks go crazy for it - saying 'its brilliant they're back together' and on and on fawning over something that was never about music - it was all about image and attitude - just as I suspect what the US is all about (or certain parts of it anyway - obsessed with celebrity and talent doesn't come into it one iota!) But - I love the idea of the Pete Townsend and Roger Daltry bit .... except I think it would be a bit of a comedown, musically, for the members of The Who. Norma Another rant over (although I suppose that was more of a mini-rant). And I know you forgive me anyway! Thanks for the soup by the way!
November 19, 200717 yr HAven't Atomic Kitten got a single out in January? I'm surprised they're chancing it really as it would ruin they're run of top 10 hits as its unlikely it would get top 10, then again it is the lowest selling of singles part of year then, so maybe have a chance. I'd love to see Steps get back together and do a tour. Not sure about doing a new album, don't know if it would work or not. I reckon they'll look at how Same Difference will do over the next year and see if the public want cheesy music again
November 20, 200717 yr If I had to choose i'd say S club, Steps or B*Witched (my 3 fave pop groups of the 90's/ early 2000's), sadly they'd all flop if they came back. B*witched shot themselves in the foot with their second album, but they should have been given another chance, everyone underpeforms at some point. Now though the only one's who could possibly make it would be S Club since they've done r'n'bish stuff before and their sound was nowhere near as cheezy as steps.
