November 20, 200718 yr Author Her song 'The Beep Beep Song' is the soundtrack to the Audi ad on the tv. It's on often and simply divine. I was hoping it'd catch on. :( I just found her myspace, I was curious, 'The Beep Beep Song' is pretty catchy http://www.myspace.com/simonewhite
November 20, 200718 yr Well, I'm happy :D "Stairway To Heaven" is in the top 40 and "Rule The World" is holding up nicely. I also like it that the charts appear a little more unpredictable these days with the inclusion of downloads.
November 21, 200718 yr No excuses guys, Spice Girls single looks to be a flop only because their past singles have done soooooo well. For any other band it would be a hit and I do reckon it will climb in to the top 5 (at least I hope so). This wasn't a come back, it was just for the fans like me who were dying for a single+video so we are lucky we got that but still it is a shame that after all these years, most of the fans HAVE moved on. I guess the real treat for us Spice fans is the tour and I can't wait to go the 3 times that I am planning to.
November 21, 200718 yr That's probably more to do with the fact that she didn't have that many singles, 4 wasn't it? I am shocked at the Spice Girls, it had been under-performing on downloads, but I assumed they'd go at least top 5 with the physical. Just goes to show the public is a bit more discerning these days; this and Kylie last week show that perhaps a large fanbase is no longer enough, you need to have a GOOD song. or at the very least, a song that connects with the public 2 Hearts and Headlines are both among the poorer singles from Kylie and Spices so they don't really deserve to be top 3 hits
November 21, 200718 yr Any chance of a quick run-down on how Christmas is starting to make it's presence felt in the charts?? Edited November 21, 200718 yr by Brutarn
November 21, 200718 yr No excuses guys, Spice Girls single looks to be a flop only because their past singles have done soooooo well. Go over it now, you repeat your words And yeah it's still a flop, one of the less successful Children In Need singles ever, that's what I call a flop.
November 21, 200718 yr Go over it now, you repeat your words And yeah it's still a flop, one of the less successful Children In Need singles ever, that's what I call a flop. Don't start again, it's only a flop for them as they are tooooo BIG, actually it's still not a flop. Any other group, it wud be a hit so what does that say about other groups. I think Spice Girls tickets sales are all that matters, any other group would love to be able to charge over 80 quid a ticket and have a worlwide sell out rather than a no:1 single (esp wen they have already conquared the world).
November 21, 200718 yr lol but I totally agree about the Tour. It's a big thing and it's gonna be huge, I have never said it's a flop  But here it's a thread about the midweeks, and talking about the midweeks, you have to realise that, yes, the single is a flop because : 1) it's been massively hyped and waited for months 2) it's the CHILDREN IN NEED single, and looking at the other CIN singles of the decade, it should have been a safe top3. That's all I'm saying, it doesn't imply that they're $h!t or that the tour is a flop, but about the single, yes, it's a flop. Don't take it too personally boy ;) Edited November 21, 200718 yr by Bertie87

They are so happy with the sucess of the tour and the worldwide response they don't care about chart position, it's a shame that the single is for a good cause and it's not doing well, I rekon that will upset the girls.
November 21, 200718 yr In the top 200 this week we have Xmas tracks from the Pogues, Wham, Andy Williams, Shakin Stevens Thanks for that. And still only Nov 21st! Very surprised that Slade and Wizzard have not put in an appearance.... What Andy Williams track is it?
November 21, 200718 yr This is a bit of an "out of subject" request, but could someone make a list of the traditional Xmas songs that come up every year with Xmas (like the Pogues, Mariah, ...). I would really like to get them :P
November 21, 200718 yr Author What Andy Williams track is it? "It's the most wonderful time of the year" There is another at the foot of the chart practically "Sounds of Christmas" by Varied Artists... I don't know anything about it.
