November 20, 200718 yr Author Good for Girls Aloud. It's a great album. Do their albums usually drop during the week? It might just hold up, depends on further updates during the week And on that note, I'm off to lunch

November 20, 200718 yr YAY for GA!!! as long as Tangled Up doesnt do what chemistry did (appear at #6 in mids then dropped to #11 by sunday) then i'll be really happy for them! I also hope the album holds up and doesnt fall too fast. Glad to see Mixed Up in there as well lol, and hopefully CTS will be top 40 by sunday. On the other note, shame for the spice girls, but there's a way to come back and a way not to, they've done a good job showing us how not to. It is only tuesday though, they may still climb up a few spots. Really dissapointed for KT, Saving My Face is AMAZING one of her best! she deserves to be at least top 20 with this...why oh why did they release Hold On first??
November 20, 200718 yr Top 60 Girls Aloud - Mixed Up  Top 70 Gorillaz Bloc Party yeah that be so cool for mixed up to get in the chart with their mixed up album, i thought the price would make it a budget album. pity that gorillaz wont hold on by sunday in the 75. corporate rock whores bloc party can f*** off now with their evil re-issues

November 20, 200718 yr I'm so glad at Spice Girls position. :D Serves them totally right for thinking they could come back with just any old rubbish and expect it to sell. Any chance it could dip from the top 10 by Sunday?
November 20, 200718 yr I'm so glad at Spice Girls position. :D Serves them totally right for thinking they could come back with just any old rubbish and expect it to sell. Any chance it could dip from the top 10 by Sunday? I would expect it to climb TBH, to about #7 or #6. Elvis will drop down the top 10 (as always) and other songs will start to sell less.
November 20, 200718 yr I would expect it to climb TBH, to about #7 or #6. Elvis will drop down the top 10 (as always) and other songs will start to sell less. Well, it's doing nothing on downloads and still falling on iTunes, I expect most of the hardcore fanbase will have purchased the physical on the first day. However you're right about Elvis, that may keep it in the top 10.
November 20, 200718 yr Spice Girls have also been out on Physical a day longer than most haven't they? I'm not sure how much of a boost their sales have had, but this is the third day they have been in the shops. I am a fan of the Spice Girls, so don't hate on me. edit: hmm...I didn't really say what I meant to say. I meant the Girls have been out an extra day and this is how they are doing, the other songs will post likely pick up on sales and "Headlines" probably wont. November 20, 200718 yr Totally stupid argument... people are finally realising that they can give to charity without supporting $h!te charity singles... That may be part of it, but most people have known that for years. The main sales advantage of a charity single is the intense promotion that normally comes with it. The song gets used in trails, and the artists crop up on just about every show going to talk about the charity in question and no-one objects to plugging the release date etc. That just didn't happen. Even on the night of CIN there wasn't any real way of distinguishing between the Spice Girls' offering and that of everyone else promoting their new single. Once their tour tickets sold out fast, it is as if they stopped trying. It's daft to knock their success, but this chart position is embarassing for them.
November 20, 200718 yr I just thought of something: if "Headlines" falls out of the Top 10, Victoria wont have the title of "Only Spice Girl to have all Singles reach the Top 10". I know she doesn't use that title, but I always found it funny how she was the one to have no huge flops.

I know she doesn't use that title, but I always found it funny how she was the one to have no huge flops. That's probably more to do with the fact that she didn't have that many singles, 4 wasn't it? I am shocked at the Spice Girls, it had been under-performing on downloads, but I assumed they'd go at least top 5 with the physical. Just goes to show the public is a bit more discerning these days; this and Kylie last week show that perhaps a large fanbase is no longer enough, you need to have a GOOD song.
November 20, 200718 yr That's probably more to do with the fact that she didn't have that many singles, 4 wasn't it? Yeah, I think she quit (or was dropped?) while she was ahead. She's probably the Spice Girls to have sung on the least Number 1 singles. How is "No U Hang Up" holding up?
