Although Leona clearly has beaten Rihanna sales-wise, Leona has spent five weeks at the top. Also, since she is again number 1 in midweeks (but Girls Aloud are not too far behind), it arises this question. Can Leona beat Rihanna for spending most weeks at number one? Can she top for ten weeks and/or more?

Also, this could be an interesting question, but if Leona is STILL number one until December, could she outsale this year's X Factor's single on their week release? I'm saying this because of how many people thought Spice Girls would reach the top, but it was Leona instead and the Spice Girls has ended at number 11. It may sound strange, but after what I saw with the Spice Girls thing, anything can be possible.

Leona sales are declining now. Album sales may rise toward Christmas, especially if Spirit stays in the top 10. But it's unlikely Bleeding Love will stay at the top for 7 weeks. GA will be #1 next week - I can't think of any major releases off the top of my head.

No.

Shaun the Sheep will knock Leona off #1, the week prior to Xmas.

The Xmas Week Chart will look something like:

01 :ne: Rhydian Roberts - When You Believe

02 (08) Soulja Boy - Crank That (1st week of Physical)

03 (01) Shaun The Sheep - Life’s A Treat

04 (07) Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You (Downloads)

05 (02) Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love

06 (03) T2 & Jodie - Heartbroken

07 (16) Sugababes - Change (1st Week of Physical)

08 (04) Girls Aloud - Call The Shots

09 (05) Cascada – What Hurts The Most

10 (09) Kate Bush - Lyra (The Golden Compass Theme) (Downloads)

Yeah you're probably right there, but i hope Heartbroken still isn't around by then :puke2:

I think Mariah will top 3 and Kate Bush will be lower.

No on both counts - Leona's sales are dropping and will probably last until X Factor (unless Shaun The Sheep does get #1, but I think it will be another Lazy Town...)

I don't remember seeing the Lazy Town video being played all over the Cabel Music Channels weeks before its release.

Sean The Sheep will be another (albeit less successful) Bob The Builder.

It's like looking into the future :yahoo:

That Soulja c**p thing better not go that high though

She won't beat Rihanna's 10 weeks (I'm glad she has sold more in less time though).

Leona sold over 500k in her first week last year with "A Moment Like This". She has currently sold over 600k of "Bleeding Love" and will continue to sell up to Xmas so I can't see this years XF winner outselling her in just one week.

AATW records would be happy to have 2 singles in the xmas top 10 (T2 and Cascada)...I hope Cascada can go top 5 with What Hurts The Most

If Leonas sales had had the same weekly average as Rhianna's, Leona would have been number one for 18 weeks ! :)

lol

I wonder how Connie Talbot will figure in all this.

Apparently shops sold out of her album on monday, they only sent out a few thousand and they all sold out. hence her low position in the midweeks.(sourcee 'the Sun', so pinch of salt possibly)

She has a single out next week 'Over the rainbow', in the run up to xmas how do you all think this will affect the chart?.

Leona's only 3k ahead of GA in the mids, I can't see her lasting another two weeks tbh, especially with Christmas coming up - let alone FIVE more weeks

Oh and if this year's X Factor contestant doesn't sell at least 90k (more than enough to beat Leona) I will go out and buy a hat, then eat it. ^_^

No... Impossible, X Factor single is in the way

Pogues have got to be in there for sure... and I think GA will belong gone out of the top 10 by the time its Christmas

Well leona is pulling away from GA now

I think its possible she'll be number one untill the X factor winner.

But I agree, 10 weeks is not possible.
