Posted May 16, 200619 yr The universe is huge obviously, so do you think there is life somewhere else out there? In another galaxy billions of miles away? And do you think the universe goes on forever, how could it stop what would be there then? Puzzles me whenever I think about it but I think there is life somewhere else and the universe goes on forever. We are a tiny part of the universe there must be life somewhere else. There are more stars in the universe than grains of sand on Earth apparently! :o
May 16, 200619 yr Yes, I do believe there's life somewhere else. Actually, I believe there's people just like us, somewhere in another distant part of the Universe whom, like us, don't even know there's life somewhere else. However, I don't think those green big headed Aliens that show up in movies exist at all.
May 16, 200619 yr I agree with Pipa, there is probably other 'life' in the universe, but it could be based on any elemet we know (or any we dont) and have any conceivable form.
May 16, 200619 yr Seems to me the universe is just teaming with life everywhere. Not necassarily in human form, but every conceivable form of life.
May 16, 200619 yr Seems to me the universe is just teaming with life everywhere. Not necassarily in human form, but every conceivable form of life. Well they say there's no LIFE at all out there (not necessarily human life), so I guess it's gotta be pretty far away, IF there's any sort of life form
May 17, 200619 yr definately should be life out there and it should infact look like us as long as the same time has elapsed for evolution. I believe everything develops in similar ways (given the environment) and so if we find another populated world I woudnt be surprised if there are some very familiar organisms. Do you think all life should be carbon based?
May 17, 200619 yr Well, if the Universe is infinite, and also, if it came from nothing like modern science says, then there is nothing to stop that there might exist other universes that are unacessable for us. The probability of some type of life develop in some place is VERY small, but here we are to prove it´s not impossible, so if there are infinite os billions universes out there, and every of them are as big as ours, then even if the probability of life is TINY, it´s almost damn sure that there must be life and even inteligent life in many places (if we can use that word, since it´s not our dimension).
May 17, 200619 yr Well they say there's no LIFE at all out there (not necessarily human life), so I guess it's gotta be pretty far away, IF there's any sort of life form Well depends on your definition of life.
May 17, 200619 yr this is what our teacher said to us a while back when we where studying space again: she said: there could be life outside earth, but scientists expect life to be just like us, lewgs, arms, breathing but maybe they dont need legs to walk, maybe they dont breath at all do u get the idea? :P
May 17, 200619 yr Author There could be life out there somewhere though where they are either far more developed than us, or living in the Ice Ages sort of thing. It's weird to think about. Or before the big bang if there was one, there could have been people sitting here like us on something like the internet!
May 17, 200619 yr there are more stars in the universe than grains of sand on Earth apparently! :o For every grain of sand there's a million stars ;)
May 17, 200619 yr Author For every grain of sand there's a million stars ;) Wow  it must be so huge out there!
May 17, 200619 yr There is every possibility that there is life of some form on another planet in another galaxy, but because the distances are so vast we may never find out. Its quite possible someone is asking the same question of us billions of miles away,
May 18, 200619 yr I often think about this. Like, there must be an edge of space, because how can it just go on forever? And what's outside of space? There could be so many galaxies out there. You know at the end of Men In Black (first 1) where it keeps zooming out and has the alien with the marbles and one of those marbles is our galaxy? Stuff like that makes me think about how weird it all is.
May 18, 200619 yr aargh... it does my head in... how could it go on forever?... how couldnt it?...lol..

May 18, 200619 yr Author I can think about it for ages sometimes, doing nothing else and it's so confusing. And also, stars blow up all the time don't they? So when do ya think the sun's gonna blow?! :funky:
May 18, 200619 yr .............. the sun will grow in size as its fuel is spent, swelling up and swallowing the earth as it becomes a 'red giant'. this will be billions of years into the future.
