Leona with "Bleeding Love" now equals the record of Mary Hopkin with "Those Were The Days" for the longest stay at number 1 by a UK female artist: 6 weeks.
Six weeks at number one, nice Leona! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
Well I'd say Somethin' Kinda Oooh is their first true dance/pop crossover, but meh. :P I hope they release Control Of The Knife!

I hope they do too. Best song on the album!

boring of leona already, still number one on albums and singels charts is kinda overrated I think!

I can imagine that the gap was less than 100.

The wait is over. 'Bleeding Love' is the first single to be released from Leona Lewis’s highly anticipated debut album, 'Spirit'. Since winning the X Factor in 2006, Leona has been recording and writing for her album, taking her time to get it absolutely right. 'Bleeding Love' gives us the first glimpse of what we can expect and is well worth the wait. 'Bleeding Love' was written and produced by LA’s hottest emerging talent, Ryan Tedder, whose credits include Mary J Blige, JLO, Timbaland and Natasha Bedingfield.

Leona Lewis was the first X Factor winner with international potential. In December 2006 she won the X Factor and had a massive Christmas Number 1 hit with 'A Moment Like This', the most downloaded track in the UK of last year, with an amazing 50,000 downloads in the first half hour alone. This immediately thrust Leona to having the biggest ever debut single for a female artist. As Simon Cowell simply put it: “She’s mesmerising. I literally couldn’t believe how good she was.” People were quick to compare Leona to the likes of Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey, which is good company to be in, but Bleeding Love is set to remind people that she has her own unique sound.

Leona set off to the US in February of this year to perform an intimate industry only showcase hosted by the legendary Clive Davis. Leona has since has been working with Dallas Austin, Soulshock and Carlin, Jam and Lewis, Walter Afanasieff and Salaam Remi. Between them they have worked with artists such as Amy Winehouse, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Usher, TLC and Michael Jackson. Every track on her forthcoming debut album has the potential to be a single. The album has been executively produced by Simon Cowell and Clive Davis. - HMV

Nothing.

The biggest are: Arctic Monkeys, Dannii Minogue, James Blunt, Lee Mead and that's it I think.

I can imagine that the gap was less than 100.

 suppose that its sales that count in the end, I think it will stick around for quite a while and sell well ^_^

I'm still shocked at Bleeding Love's long lasting reign at #1 yet none of Mariah's tracks bar Without You were able to do the same.

When they did the contendors for number 1, why did they play them in the order they charted? Hmmm

Thanks everyone for following the Chart with us!

Join us also next week! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

This has to be one of the worst pre christmas release schedules for years, it's so boring and hardly anything decent to look forward to.
Soulja Boy is out December 17th. Unless you're suggesting that it's going to be #1 on downloads alone. :puke2:

It's been moved forward to the 10th
