October 12, 200816 yr LUXURY! ..... i had to hop all the way there and back. You are lucky. 30 years ago... Xe1a1wHxTyo
October 12, 200816 yr It really is disgusting i agree <_< I have to go to the hospital fairly often and its guarenteed my mum will moan about it EVERY time. Im lucky i dont have anything life threatening... its a bit of a insult to people having to park up paying this charge with terminal cancers and such :( <_< thats the uk for u -_-
October 13, 200816 yr You are lucky. 30 years ago... Xe1a1wHxTyo  Was just about to mention that.
October 14, 200816 yr Inflation has reached 5.2% Wonderful -_- Completely understated. The real figure that matters to your average Briton is food and energy price inflation. Much higher -_-
October 22, 200816 yr The pessimism and miserableness that clouds this country. Sometimes I like the fact that we can be so brutally honest, but it is just so much and it happens on a regular basis.
December 7, 200816 yr The pessimism and miserableness that clouds this country. Sometimes I like the fact that we can be so brutally honest, but it is just so much and it happens on a regular basis. *cough* Daily Mail *cough*
December 15, 200816 yr bloody crimbo.... what a fcukin circus! i hate them ads on tv, especially the asda 'its beginging to look alot like...' and the singers, ever year some t*** who we rarely ever hear of releases some goddamn awful racket and the advert is constantly played... god i hate it...
December 15, 200816 yr I am beginning to hate it too more and more, roads are clogged up with cars atm, getting parking spaces in car parks in my area is a bloody nightmare not to mention queues in Post Offices with t**** posting 8 or 9 parcels in our sub post office when there is only 1-2 tills open at a time causing massive queues, use a fukkin main post office for mass parcels
December 17, 200816 yr i hate them ads on tv, especially the asda 'its beginging to look alot like...' and the singers, ever year some t*** who we rarely ever hear of releases some goddamn awful racket and the advert is constantly played... god i hate it... I'm sick and tired of hearing that damn song too!
June 10, 200916 yr Hey Tyler if you want, you and the other American posters can do a similar thread for the US.... That list would been endless.. Like in the first post, you have to buy to park outside hospitales.. I know some places have that, but not every hospital in Norway.. still.. it's stupid -_- I can tell you some bad facts about Norway.. erm.. public transport is expensive.. or.. well... Norway IS expensive :nocheer: well.. our roads sux.. railway too.. and as one of the richest countries in the world we should have affort to make better roads and railways, like Sweden.. They have European standars, we have only some few.. thou bad roads is kinda charming when you are German and block the whole road and drive so slow Norwegians is getting pissed off  I can't come up with something more to say so.. I leave it there, maybe I will find something more later :P
January 12, 201015 yr Having to pay to park at hospitals. I think its disgusting how people should have to pay up to £10 a time just to stat a night to see a dying loved one in hospital, some may not be able to afford this, most hospitals charge £2 an hour to park. -_- Could be worse... my mum had to pay each for parking in the UK and she's a NURSE. She had to pay to save lives, and she had to pay for 8 hours worth of parking each day...
January 12, 201015 yr Could be worse... my mum had to pay each for parking in the UK and she's a NURSE. She had to pay to save lives, and she had to pay for 8 hours worth of parking each day... My dad used to be based inside Ninewells Hospital [he designs instruments for Key-Hole surgery] and he used to have to pay to park. He may not have saved lives, but until his firm moved to the technology park at the back of the hospital he had to pay to park within a mile of his work. Ninewells is one of the very few if not only hospitals in scotland to still charge for parking.
January 16, 201015 yr My dad used to be based inside Ninewells Hospital [he designs instruments for Key-Hole surgery] and he used to have to pay to park. I know, it's disgusting. Even to pay to visit a sick/dying friend or relative, but even more so to save them. He may not have saved lives, but until his firm moved to the technology park at the back of the hospital he had to pay to park within a mile of his work. Ninewells is one of the very few if not only hospitals in scotland to still charge for parking. Your dad also saves lifes - maybe he didn't actually do it directly but it wouldn't be possible for doctor's to do it if your dad hadn't designed the instruments :)
February 3, 201015 yr I know, it's disgusting. Even to pay to visit a sick/dying friend or relative, but even more so to save them. Your dad also saves lifes - maybe he didn't actually do it directly but it wouldn't be possible for doctor's to do it if your dad hadn't designed the instruments :) you have a point. He's actually been in the Surgery room to get feedback and ensure the instruments are the best they can be. Ninewells Hospital is the only hospital to charge for parking in eastern scotland. I can't remember if a hospital in Glasgow charges or not, but i'm sure it doesn't making Ninewells the only one in scotland to do so.
April 10, 201015 yr mines ok.... So is mine. True it's not infalable but since I started with Virgin 18 months ago I have only ever been without it for 6 days in total. When I was offline for more than 2 days I got money refunded. It's actually got UK tech support - it's just that there are some Indians work there and it's a FREE call. Also if a problem can't be fixed by a call to tech support, they will arrange for an engineer to come round. Most times if there are any exchange outages in the area it does not go of completely but just temporarily slows down (usually to around 12 or 13Mb). All I do then is check the status on the website. As for speed, I am fully satisfied. I subscribe to up to 20Mb and the slowest speed I have ever had was 17.31Mb but usually it's around 19.45Mb and I have even had 20.48Mb. I came over from the TRUELY worst ISP in the UK which was TISCALI. It was down at least twice a week. Once I had no internet for 9 days, there was not a hint of a refund. They DID have asian tech support which cost an arm and a leg with sometimes taking up to an hour and a half to get through. Originally I was with Freeserve from 1998 but when Wannadoo took over in around 2004 it just went downhill and went to Tiscali (just because everyone seemed to be on Tiscali). So MushyMan I think you must be one of the very few unfortunate ones. (but you don't state which service you are on - Cable or not). I'm on cable.
April 10, 201015 yr Political correctness  http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7149525.stm What a crock of $h!t :manson: sure that word is not ideal but ffs it is part of the song how can it suddenly be offensive when the song has been about for decades It's not the word I can't stand it's everything it stand for I hate.
April 10, 201015 yr I hate it when i see road signs being put up in Polish, and emergency services too. Ive got nothing against the Polish themselves and if everything was in English then they would learn english but we will end up with a pernament large majoirty of a Polish speaking population soon Here in Greater Manchester and Lancashire we get signs put up - not in Polish but in Urdu and Bengali all over the place. It's disgusting. If people want to live here they should speak English and if they can't they should learn. It looks like graffiti all over the place. Not only that it costs the council tax payers hundreds of thousands. And it's not only signs but council leaflets also that come through the door. And they expect us to respect their culture and dress. If we were in their countries they wouldn't respect our culture and dress and they wouldn't plaster signs in English everywhere.
April 10, 201015 yr All that Junk mail that comes through the door everyday. All that Spam in your inbox. All the cold calling with people trying to sell you something at all hours day or night. (just telling them to shove it and hang-up on them). And the phone calls and no one is at the other end.
