Brighton, UK based indie quartet, British Sea Power, steadily built up a fanbase through their æClub Sea PowerÆ nights. Their live shows saw them performing surrounded by stuffed animals and foliage, creating a suitable backdrop for their idiosyncratic post-punk music. They made their recording debut in July 2001 with the single "Fear Of Drowning"/"A Wooden Horse", released on the bandÆs own label Golden Chariot. A recording contract with UK independent Rough Trade Records ensued, with the quartet making their debut for the label in December with "Remember Me". By 2003 the band had expanded their line-up to a five-piece with the addition of keyboard player Eamon. Their debut album THE DECLINE OF BRITISH SEA POWER emerged the same June and was hailed as one of the yearÆs most impressive releases. British Sea PowerÆs next single "It Ended On An Oily Stage" appeared in March 2005, and preceded the release of the bandÆs second album, OPEN SEASON. A more cohesive and accessible collection than their debut, the album reached number 13 on the UK album charts. - HMV

British Sea Power - a tad depressing and nothing too special :( I do like the guitar though - and they sound a tad like the Editors.

Reggie can speak only about c**p songs like Crank That... His standard...

I like this a lot, fallen quite a bit from the mids though

Rihanna returns with the third single to be lifted from the album 'Good Girl Gone Bad'. 'Hate That I Love You' is a smooth slice of RnB featuring songwriter and man of the moment Ne-Yo with Stargate on production duties. - HMV

Is Fearne not on today then? :(

She is on holiday - and in her absence, Reggie has only missed out 1 song so far :P

I thought that Whitney song was really awful, a deserved flop IMO.

Actually, I just listened to it again because I didn't like British Sea Power and I agree. I guess this shows that it's probably charting because of the music and not because of the backalsh towards the media. Either that or we were just harsher to celebrities who were in the press for bad things back then.

I like it much better like this. I do like Fearne generally, but I don't think the chart show is a role she's suited to.

Why did Rihanna bother releasing this? She's done it all before. Much better single choices on the album :/

Reggie's voice annoys me and Fearne makes me laugh.

Stupid holiday
