February 7, 200817 yr i love that riff! i remember reading it was a 1979 hit, coz the girls had never heard it, or of Gary before
February 7, 200817 yr Author That's it The Stranglers, "goes and downloads", I want this track in the chart next week. :w00t: And while you're at it - download Golden Brown, Somethin' Better Change, Peaches .... and best of all ... Walk On By (the extended version with the brilliant keyboard section). You won't regret! Norma
February 7, 200817 yr hmm.. it wasn't very good, was it? Too many clumsy references (many of them wrong for July 1981, too)... and some really poor acting.
February 7, 200817 yr  I thought it was really great! And I didn't think much of Life On Mars. Keeley Hawes is a really, really good TV actress and she suited the role so perfectly. The plot is decent enough and there were a surprising number of laugh out loud moments! I also think the supporting cast are great, especially the new, young girl with that crazy bob. :P Really good show. ^_^
February 7, 200817 yr I hope something like this is made in 15 years or so that goes back to the 1990s or something, that'd be pretty amazing for someone of my age. :heehee: As it is, 'Ashes to Ashes' didn't really interest me, and it clashed with 'Trial and Retribution'. :heehee:
February 8, 200817 yr I quite liked the opening episode, think it will improve too. Loved the old references like the "walkman", And "phone cards...............flash git" and their state of the art stuff, old Tv's, Videos and the computer with green graphics, my that takes me back
February 8, 200817 yr I never watched Life on Mars, but I watched this and thought it was rather good.
February 14, 200817 yr I'm taking this episode with a pinch of salt, for some reason it was a poor episode, but I love all the retro references and the music.
February 14, 200817 yr I'm taking this episode with a pinch of salt, for some reason it was a poor episode, but I love all the retro references and the music. I thought it was quite good, i think the episodes are going to get better as the series goes along.
February 14, 200817 yr I liked tonights more than last weeks  Maybe thats because I can remember when Charles and Di got married?
February 14, 200817 yr What puzzled me, when the dog got blowed up, the dog yelped  surely it wouldn't yelp  that just cracked me up
February 14, 200817 yr Author I liked tonights more than last weeks  Maybe thats because I can remember when Charles and Di got married? I thought tonight's episode was far better than last week's introductory episode - and I really enjoyed that one. I'm starting to actually like Alex now. She's funny - and has some of the best lines. I was wracking my brains trying to think who was playing Mr Bonds - then it struck me - it was Moxy - from Auf Wiedersehn Pet! Chris Fairbanks. Has anyone noticed how they've softened up the Carling character? I can see its going to get better and better. Norma
February 15, 200817 yr i liked last nights eppy. Alex is growing on me. tho i wish she'd just get on with it rather than over analysing everything
March 13, 200817 yr This is so good. Keeley is perfectly cast; she brings Alex to life! Anyway only an hour and a go half to go. :D
March 13, 200817 yr Last weeks with Russell Tovey was great - although that was mainly due to how amazing Russell is :D
March 13, 200817 yr Tonight's episode was amazing. Possibly the best yet! Keeley is such a goddess.
