But he's a clone of Mika I recon

Well I for one, am VERY happy that Wet Wet Wet's new single, "Weightless" came straight in at No. 10, on today 10h Feb. Same number as a former album title, (10) by Scotland's biggest EVER band.

I think she was too far behind #3 :(

A green-eyed beauty with a sultry voice, Rihanna was discovered as a teenager on her island home of Barbados, and quickly signed with the venerable Def Jam records. Powered by a Soft Cell sample, her infectious dancehall/Caribbean single "Pon de Replay," from her album the MUSIC OF THE SUN, became the summer jam of 2005, peaking at number two on the charts. By 2006 she had become a worldwide sensation, and her second album, A GIRL LIKE ME, went platinum, boosted by a Nike ad song, guest appearances on ALL MY CHILDREN, and a film part in BRING IT ON: ALL OR NOTHING. - HMV

Why don't you apply for the chart show job on radio 1!

Fearne and Reggie fail to mention how this has managed to climb back to its peak post physical release :arrr:

shows it should have been released physically at least 2 weeks earlier -_-

A genuine band I think

For a band that's been in the music business for 20 years plus, they achieved the possible of having a Top 10 record, some bands who had a long career can't even get a Top 10 hit, well done to them.

Hopefully Visage will be in the chart next week with Fade To Grey, Steve Strange is performing it on Ashes To Ashes this week

A hymn to lost love and regret, ‘Chasing Pavements’ follows Adele’s first limited edition single ‘Hometown Glory’, which introduced Adele to the world to much critical acclaim. Blues tinged and melancholic, Adele describes ‘Chasing Pavements’ as “It’s me being hopeful for a relationship that’s very much over. The sort of relationship you hate when you’re in it, but miss when you’re not”. - HMV

Though journalistic shorthand often finds Nickelback dubbed "the Canadian Creed", the band found success on its own terms right from the start with the 2000 debut album THE STATE. It may be true that the band's heavy guitars, pounding drums, and dramatic vocals are in line with the Creed approach, but like that band, Nickelback is equally indebted to the heavy metal and hard rock heroes of the '70s. As with many other 21st century heavy rockers, though, Nickelback fits catchy pop sensibilities into their sonic onslaught, ensuring as enthusiastic a reception from radio as they receive from their rabid fanbase. - HMV
