March 18, 200817 yr Awful. :( Has like no one bought the physical? I hope at the very least all the fans on here have. Let's support our Babes! I think having the 1 cd is letting them down a lot :( Hopefully it climbs a couple of places, can't see it happening with Slagdonna though. Think everyone will fall a place. Very tough week.
March 18, 200817 yr i can't believe after that massive climb that the babes have only climbed 1 place maybe would have been different if it was top 10 but still they deserve higher than 14  Edited March 18, 200817 yr by Kid Justice 2008
March 18, 200817 yr I thought itd be about 9 or 10, I reckon It'll end up charting at about 11 or 12. shouldhave been a second cd single like
March 18, 200817 yr Madonna is gona kick most top 20 acts down a place tomorrow. I wanted this to go top 10. For only one single to chart top 10 from change is terrible. Their last studio album had 3 top 5's!!! Yea its more about sales the chart positions to be honest, hasnt the album sold very well?
March 18, 200817 yr Yeah, Red Dress went Top 5 and sold less than a single that didn't go Top 10- Change. So don't really mean nothing does it ;) To be fair, on paper that doesnt mean a lot does it? If a song charts at 13 like change, that means their was 12 more popular songs in that week which is not good. Red dress didnt get downloads added in anyway which is why it sold less. I think if downloads had have been added it would still have been no 4 or 5.
March 18, 200817 yr Yea its more about sales the chart positions to be honest, hasnt the album sold very well? its nearing half a million. not amazing, but not terrible
March 18, 200817 yr Author 425k to be precise. Unless the 4th single is huge and/or there's a live album/re-release of some sort, it'll stall at 600k - low by Sugababes standards.
March 18, 200817 yr This could well be the second song to enter the top 40 and fall after its physical release...
March 18, 200817 yr Change actually did better in the UK than a lot of Sugababes top 10 hits including "Too Lost In You". It has currently sold more than 80K singles (and is now back in the top40). Chart positions are very much dependent on which week a single is released. Change was up against several Xmas songs, which have never been eligible to chart before. Had it been released in January it would have been a top 5 single. It was actually #5 on physical sales the week before Xmas. Don't worry so much about chart positions, but be happy that the Babes are shifting a lot of copies still. And don't compare sales from 2004-2005 with now as album sales in general have plummeted, so they can't be compared directly. An album selling 500.000-600.000 today is the equivalent of an album selling 800.000-900.000 a couple of years back. :-)
March 18, 200817 yr The music industry is just on its arse now, sorry but it is. Denial would be no8 if it was just down to physicals. Singles used to be a novelty, collectible etc, now the chart seems to be dominated by downloads and its rubbish! It wont be long before physical singles are done away with altogether. I dont think younger people appreciate as much but as someone who grew up in the oasis vs blur time of music, the music industry was real fun. The spice girls used to get no1 with every song and it was so cool, can you imagine an act having 4 no1's from an album nowadays? Impossible. Rant over, sorry lol Edited March 18, 200817 yr by Robintime11
March 19, 200817 yr Well I liked Change better, But I think they both deserved top 10. I'd have had change number 1 if was upto me
March 20, 200817 yr I would certainly have loved change to be xmas no1 rather than that guy, i forget his name.
March 20, 200817 yr Album has gone up to number 30 in the Mids and single down to 15 :-( it is still rising on itunes, so hopefully it will manage to go up a little!
