IT WAS $h!t. I went to see it with the boy and his sister (ONLY because she had to be at work for 6 and it was the only okaliy timed movie) but UGH. It was truly awful and embarrassing to watch, really. Oh and they dragged the 'jokes' out for to long too, and yeah the whole Americalisation of it peed me off; ASIF I KNOW WHO RYAN SEACREST IS OR WHAT AMERICA'S ADVERTS ARE LIKE.

 

well what do you expect?? they are not gonna make a joke about Eastenders or Grange Hill now are they - its aimed at dumasses in middle america innit!!!

 

and at least all the references are only about 3 months old - its not like you need a big book of 1980s American Culture to understand what they are going on about like in some other shows i could mention (i.e. see below :lol: :lol: )

The only part that is halfway funny is the Brtiney bit, the rest is $h!t. We got this in January.

 

the Britney part is not funny - the only part that might create a small smirk is when a penguin takes a $h!t on sean maguire's head (but i guess this only works in the united kingdom with memories of his pop career :lol: )

 

meet the spartan - even tho not the worse film in the world (i was mentally screaming trying to get to the end of norbit :lol: ) - why should this get on the big screen and not go DTV where it should be. very cheap film - obv if the lookilikeys were not signposted a million miles away or you were not told who they were - you wouldnt know who the hell they would supposed to be.

well Airplane works so well as its done so deadpan 'seriously' (that is its a proper old 1950 or 1960s disaster movie script that they are using and putting the madness on top rather than saying well this is this film and this is that reference)

 

on the other hand the downside is that he is now old and will do cemeos for cake :lol:

"300" is so laughably camp in itself anyway :lol: , so I fail totally to see the point in doing a spoof tbh.... Campness and irony works best when it's not actually intended, it just occurs naturally..

 

think the creatives should watch some talbot rothwell era carry on (with the added hope that carry on london fails again by the end of the year) for how to do innuendo and camp - actually M.T.S. might be one of the least camp films ever - even tho the gay aspect of 300 is made expicit in the spoof

Well at work, loads of Kids walked out coz they found it stupid... that's when you can tell a film is really bad... when KIDS are even walking out! :manson: I am not hoping for it to be good, but i'm hoping for it to be at least better than Meet The Spartans and Epic Movie.

like when i saw bratz i ended up having the giggles really bad...kinda at the specticle of awfulness that greated me on screen - not actually laughing at the part everyone else was laughing at - think i was caught up in the moment...and perhaps rather crying with laughter...laughing with embarrisment as i was with my bro, who had taken his kid to see it....

I've just got back from seeing Disaster Movie and I'm not even going to waste words on it.
