February 22, 200817 yr My December was completely awful. Breakaway had some amazing pop gems on it while My December just failed miserably. I'm not just saying this because it was 'different' from her usual style, but because it's just a poor album. The lyrics aren't good, the production is terrible...I have no idea what she was thinking.
February 22, 200817 yr Author How I Feel, is probably the most commercial on the album and i am actually surprised that she didnt release that 2nd! She needs to release that and Sober then Album sales will go up again! :D
February 22, 200817 yr And? I don't see what that's got to do with what I said? Fair enough, I was the only person going on about whether she wrote her own material or not so I thought your jibe was aimed at me. If not me, then whom?
February 22, 200817 yr How i feel's my favourite... Agreed, more singles should have been released from that album. I definitely played it more times than Breakaway. It's such a shame that all the great female singers from 2004/2005 seem to be getting less support in recent years. Such as Natasha Beddingfield and Joss Stone.
February 22, 200817 yr I mean why didn't $h!telback release 'Rockstar' in 2005? They wrote it off and then decided to after it was HUGE in America. It's one of those songs that people do karaoke too and get the hook stuck in their head - just sing it when the guys have had some beers whether they're 18 or 40 - the girls sing it. Heck my nan sings it  It still shouldn't be doing so well though as they're a dire band and Chad Kroegar's voice is just YUCK. Oh and no Clarkson won't. Yeah it will be the worst "classic" of the decade, people will remember it
February 27, 200817 yr Yeah I personally agree with most others in this thread who've expressed doubt that Kelly could do a Nickleback at the moment. My December, good album or not, has too much bad publicity to really regain its honour now, so she just needs to come back with new material and hopefully shock all her critics into silence!
March 3, 200817 yr "Breakaway" was an amazing album, "My December" is unbearable, no matter how well written it is. The production of it is so lame, I only really like Never Again from the album. Puhlease. My December is unbearable to people who wanted a Breakaway clone. She makes music, not hamburgers right..? I think MD is a wonderful album, and I like it more than I like Breakaway. Everyone has different taste Josh, so don't say it IS unbearable, but lets keep it at YOU finding it unbearable ;)
March 11, 200817 yr Very well said Frank, I completely respect Kelly for putting something out there that was a bit different to her previous efforts.

March 13, 200817 yr Author My December is an amazing album and is very under rated and under looked! She could have had at least 4 fairly big hits if it had been promoted right! :(

March 13, 200817 yr In answer to the original question, not a chance. As dreadful as 'Rocksar' is it does have commercial appeal...
March 14, 200817 yr Author So do some MD songs. How I Feel? One Minute? Sober? Yup theyre 3 of the ones i would have chosen as singles too! Along with Never Again but save Never Again until like the 3rd release! How I Feel then Sober, Then Never again & then One Minute is how i would have gone! ;)
March 14, 200817 yr I agree with RFC in that not many of the tracks on MD have wide commercial appeal, unlike Rockstar which does. I do think the singles could have fared better, with promotion and more of a strategy, but I think with the bad publicity surrounding the album and Clive Davis vs. Kelly it would have never truly achieved its potential.
March 26, 200817 yr Hmmm I dont think it is Clive tbh. Sure the argument definately put bad publicity around the album, but even Clive wouldn't want flopage to his name, so I think its more uncommercialism and lack of promo.
