March 7, 200817 yr i agree, with the '08 editions and Basshunter sitting at number 1 for 5weeks, plus the emergence of cascada TBH i think of the three 08's this year only one will make the top 20- Something Good. Break Of Dawn got #41 and i think Toca's Miracle will end up somewhere similar. And those are WITH strong radio support. I think they could be right! This decade has stood out for dance music for me i think! We have had, DJ Sammy, Scooter, Cascada, Basshunter, Eric Prydz, Angelcity, being some of the most noteable and most popular, plus many many more! The ones in bold have emerged from 2004 onwards! I love dance music! and IMO it has been getting better and better! :D Its getting better and better in europe but no-one seems to be interested here Yeah, dance music has to make a comeback sooner or later but I don't see why it should be the same high-pitched, cheesy rubbish that killed it off that resurrects it. Can't we have some intelligent dance music crossing over? I think whole genre comebacks just don't work. They will never get a patch on the original genre because they just grow too fast and i think Garage will get a bit drowned with lots of music that will just all end up flopping. I think that labels are rushing to release stuff that has been around unreleased for 5 years and it will be too much for people to handle. For comparison, here is www.everyhit.com's generated "retro-chart" for the 2000s (based on chart runs): 1 Rihanna featuring Jay-Z Umbrella ... 100 Robyn with Kleerup With Every Heartbeat Thats an interesting chart, but its way to 2007 weighted because of longer chart runs
