ive not been a fan of ee for ages now... but this storyline could potentially do alot of good, for those being groomed and/or are suffering in silence.. disturbing it is, the actor is putting himself at risk (ive already mentioned an anti - p**** advert in the 80's where the ACTOR got beaten up and threatened for portraying a p**** ... some folks dont understand the concept of ACTING!

i think many agree the storyline is been handled very well and lets hope it raises awareness of how in some cases a child is so easily groomed

LAUREN?..... UTTER BOLLOX

that is the third biggest load of complete and utter shyte in soap history (behind bobby ewing 'dream' year in dallas, and that alien abduction scene in...oh some c**p).

that charmless child with one stone faced expression looks like shed have trouble feeding herself, let alone driving a car...

Is it really that much of a stretch to believe she was driving? Admittedly I'm 18 and I wouldn't know how to work a car but I don't think it's completely unrealistic to believe a 14 year old could work out how to use a car that was already running.

It was kind of obvious she did it since Tanya went to jail, it obviously wasn't her and the only people I can imagine her protecting is one of her own and it was hardly going to be Abi or Oscar. Abi also seemed to know who it was in one episode and the only person she wouldn't rat on is probably her sister.

Watch them reveal that it was someone else now and the cut to Lauren on the phone was just a coincidence.

i do.... its a reasonable assumption to suppose that that little girl had had no tuition in driving, so, do you think that she could get in the car, adjust the seat, understand the controls, take the handbrake off, and deliberately and compitantly drive the car at her dad, driving off then parking it leaving no evidence?... impossible.

another very disturbing scene or two.... when tony moved in on laurel... giving her a gift, the creep, BRILLIANTLY shot with the camera often below laurels shoulder looking up, making tony look so much bigger..

and when laurel found out that ian doesnt want her.... with jayne, 'are you ok' , 'yes' she replied holding tonys gift.... slowly falling into his grip... enthraling and disturbing all in one go...

i agree the camera work with the tony storyline is very affective and it really highlights how easy it for these kinda creeps to pray on vumnerable children
Eastenders is terrible atm they ought to call it branning-enders they have been dominating the soap for 3 years.

Whitney looks alot like Zoe Slater - Especially tonight!

LOVING this episode! and so early in the week. :o Usually storylines like this unravel at the end of the week

tense drama, well handled, very gripping.
My jaw... is on the floor. LOL. That was really amazing. Didn't have any idea Patsy Palmer could put in such a brilliant performance.

patsy is always at her best with the big dramatic stuff i remembe ryears ago when she and ricky had to abort the baby as it had spinabhidia(cant spell it) she was fantastoc and likewise when carol found out about her affir with dan

...tonight's Eastenders was nothing short of incredible.

I used to love EE, but with it being on so often, I think the quality's gone down the pan - too many paper-thin storylines and too much wishy-washy acting.

But... tonight's episode was magnificent - superbly acted (especially Patsy Palmer who could act most Hollywood actresses off the screen when she's like she was tonight), superbly set, and expertly scripted.... I really liked how it didn't go the easy route, with Tony being labelled just another paedophile with a victim - it actually showed the other side - where the young girl involved tried sticking up for him and defending his actions. Which you rarely, if ever, see on television.

Tonight's episode definitely ranks up there with the best EE of all time - phenomenal. Patsy Palmer deserves every award going for tonight - she was brilliant.

Pretty much agreed with everyone else. A fantastically handled storyline with brilliant acting from Patsy Palmer in particular.
