Cheers Mart!n. Look forward to the mrib chart late tonight. It will differ to OCC, because Leona, and the double A, is likely to be rated together, even the download, of Footsteps.

I told you that! :lol: It will be different, not only for Leona, because once again it will have those Ting Tings in too!!

Sales added for today, plus additional info on page 1, 4th post, I'm not answering any requests, as I need a breather. Thank you for your time

And damn No Eastenders Sport Relief :( :rolleyes:

Thanks Martin. I don't think Leona will catch up now.

Westlife might rise too, they were on Sports Relief. :(

Analysis of Leona vs. Duffy position:

Recent weekly split of sales:

  • Sun-Mon ~30%;
  • Tue-Thu ~37%;
  • Fri-Sat ~33%.
Currently the position per this grouping is as follows:

Artist ... Sun/Mon ..... Tue-Thu ... Fri/Sat ... Total

Duffy ....... 12,300 ....... 15,700 .... 14,132 .... 42,132

Leona ....... 6,350 ....... 17,950 .... 16,158 .... 40,458

Variance ... 5,950 ........ (2,250) ... (2,025) .... 1,675

So if Leona's sales over Fri/Sat were to mirror their performance Tue-Thu in terms of lead over Duffy, Leona would end up at #2 and 1,675 copies behind.

But this doesn't take account of the sales spike following tonight's Sports Relief show.

Therefore, if tonight's Sports Relief show generates an extra 1.7k BIT/FITS sales, I think Leona will take the #1 spot. If not, I think it will be Duffy.

Hopefully not ;)

Hopefully not ;)

I hope not too! lol

I think Leona will be number 1 especially now that she has performed BOTH her singles on Sport Relief!

I agree that sadly Leona will now nick the #1 spot on Sunday with her blandfest of an excuse for a "Chariddee" single.

What a shame that Bleeding Love appears to have been a one off fluke with regards a good tune.

:rofl: you cant be serious????

I really hope Duffy can hang on. Not impressed at all with Leona's performance tonight.

I agree. It has been nearly 18 months since she was on X Factor, and I've yet to see any artistic development from her.

Personally, she replaced Will Young as the Best British Pop Talent show star of the 21st Century due to her performances on XF3.

But her album was a bitter disappointment as (excluding Bleeding Love) it is blandness personified (both Mariah Carey's & Whitney Houston's debut albums were far far better), and in stark contrast to Will Young she does not seem to have an individualism or personality needed to give her a successful long term career in the music industry as she still comes across as Simon Cowell's puppet like Gareth Gates did when Simon Cowell when spending more money on videos and promotion for the runner up of Pop Idol (and look what happened to his career) in comparison to Will Young.

Sorry i disagree! Leonas album is amazing it is one of my favourites and it will always remain a favourite of mine! (Obviously Not EVERYONE can like her) but there is no denying she has talent and the voice! (Just listen to the b-side You Bring Me Down :wub: )

Leona is going to flower in time, I think. She's clearly not there yet but she's got enough individuality in her voice to last. The album is definitely good, but it feels like too much of a mish-mash of modern production (Bleeding Love, Angel, Take A Bow) and a bit more dated (all the rest). If she experiments more - which she should be allowed to do with the next album, given how huge Spirit has been and is continuing to be - she could be really interesting.
