June 4, 200817 yr I'm hoping Claire wins  Alex and Helene are both kinda boring and I don't trust Lee after all his lying  and I felt really sorry for him about his spelling :(
June 4, 200817 yr I don't mind Lee. He has his fair share of comedy buffoon moments, but I think he's the one who would put in the most effort into working for Sir Alan, and be more willing to listen to any criticism and LEARN as an apprentice than Alex and Claire.
June 4, 200817 yr i dont like lee.... Same here, he's an utter tw@t..... Alex, well, he's too much of a "pretty boy" really, no real substance to him.... Claire - she's "The Badger" without the sharp business acumen and intellect, I really dont like her..... So, that leaves me supporting Helene..... Oh FUKK...... Things really MUST be sh!t if she's the least objectionable one left.... -_-
June 4, 200817 yr When he was doing his dinosaur thing (or whatever it was)...oh dear...what more is there to say?
June 4, 200817 yr Total respect for Lucinda the way she stuck up for herself in the interviews. I really don't get all this 'Alex is good looking' etc? To me he just looks beady-eyed with stupid hair. A model? What a f***ing joke! Still love Claire

To me he just looks beady-eyed with stupid hair. A model? What a f***ing joke! Maybe he was an Airfix model? The way he turned on Lucinda in the boardroom - reminded me so much of last year when Katie Hopkins turned round and dropped Adam in it! I know Alex is a northerner but he's a git! Still can't stand Claire! I think its the tiny 'piggy' eyes that do it for me ... and her face reminds me of a bulldog licking the pee off a nettle! Norma
June 4, 200817 yr I think Lucinda is actually too good to be the Apprentice if Im honest. Looking at who is left, Helene will not win. I think its between the other three. I hope Claire wins but I have a feeling it will be Alex. Alan deffo has his faves though - Claire and Alex, been pretty much obv throughout the series.
June 5, 200817 yr God, Alex p***ed me off so much last night with his bitchy attack on Lucinda, she was being honest saying she'd reached the point where she was doubting herself yet just cos Alex and co didn't this makes Lucinda a bad person, she's had a tough time because of the way she had been treated and no wonder she was tired and stuff And if Alex tells us how old he is one more time, I will officially have to kill him, I just hope to god that Lee or Claire wins, cos if in the next task Alex and Helene win that Alex will be the winner which will be horrendous Lee and Claire should win hands down, but my vote goes to Claire all the way
June 5, 200817 yr I don't get all the hate for Alex after last night and he's easily my least favourite. He was 100% right to do what he did in that boardroom! Lucinda may have told everyone in confidence she was doubting herself but anyone with an ounce of common sense wouldn't tell fellow contestants on a Reality TV show something in confidence and expect it to remain that way, how stupid can you get?! Especially the way this lot have bitched and moaned to try and make themselves look favourable at every oportunity possible! Why on earth would you not try and take someone down when, in the most fantastic opportunity of your life, they've said they're not sure if they want it?! Complete madness, she made herself the biggest and easiest target this series! The whole point of the show is that there's going to be one winner from 16 contestants, everyone has to make themselves look like the one that should be hired, part of doing this is by picking weak points in fellow contestants. Credit to Alex for being the only person with enough balls to do so! It's about winning, not about being nice or playing fair, that's how you make a success of yourself in business!
June 5, 200817 yr But surely it's better to win on YOUR own merit, rather than winning because you've made everyone else look bad?
June 5, 200817 yr I always forget how much I hate interview week - they're all so into themselves, and twist everything. Like when the dude said to Lucinda about heading up a team "how about you listen?" ... erm, surely if she's leading the team, she's supposed to be doing just that - telling people what to do. If she's proj. manager, it's everyone else's job to listen to her.
June 5, 200817 yr But surely it's better to win on YOUR own merit, rather than winning because you've made everyone else look bad? Well yes, you have to make yourself look the best by selling yourself but I do think you have to point out weak points in others! Edited June 5, 200817 yr by RabbitFurCoat
June 5, 200817 yr Well yes, you have to make yourself look the best by selling yourself but I do think you have to point out weak points in others! Perhaps...although I think Alex ONLY fell back on blasting Lucinda because he realised he had completely FAILED to sell himself. The only other weapon he could find had was repeating "I'm only 24" over and over again...we know Sirallun does like the young candidates, but it won't solely carry him through. Pointing out the weakness in others is all very well, but if you have few strengths to show off yourself, than you shouldn't be there. He's good at sales, but the Apprentice isn't about finding Sirallun another bog standard salesperson, I'm sure he's got enough of those already. The Apprentice is about finding someone who can cope with holding a top position in a company and taking a LEAD role. And Alex doesn't seem to possess any leadership or organizational skills at all. This really highlights a key weakness of the Apprentice (and it's been highlighted aswell by Lucinda in an interview she's given to Digital Spy). The tasks are all HEAVILY focused on sales, with very little attention given to other skills which would be just as necessary for a top role in a large company.

The tasks are all HEAVILY focused on sales, with very little attention given to other skills which would be just as necessary for a top role in a large company. I think you just have to put yourself in his situation. You're down to the final 5 of what is undoubtably the greatest opportunity you're ever going to have but there can only be one person that gets it. When one of your rivals says to you they're not sure that they want it you're not exactly going to be best pleased with them. And then when she's saying the exact opposite things to Sralun only one day later it's certainly going to ring alarm bells. I know I would've pointed it out, I wouldn't want some complete joker wasting my time with something so important! He might have picked a better time to point it out, but I still think he was 100% right to point it out. Lucinda made herself very vulnerable last night, it was extremely naive and frankly someone of her intelligence and experience should have known a lot better! As soon as she said it I knew she wouldn't be in the final. Alex does have his weaknesses, but there's a final 4 for a reason. None of them are really that good or stand out and they all have weak areas. Alex has proved to be an excellent sales person, and working as a team leader/manager on 100% commission shows he's got guts to prove himself! Edited June 5, 200817 yr by RabbitFurCoat
June 5, 200817 yr Biggest joke ever last night, cant believe either Lee or Helene will have a chance of winning in the final 2  Claire for the win
June 5, 200817 yr It's true that Alex has shown himself to be a wonderful salesman. But every company has sales people - it doesn't define him as adequate to be 'The Apprentice', his skills are transferable across thousands of companies. There are lots of good sales people in the world - it doesn't make him overly special IMO. And, as much as I loved her, Lucinda should have kept her thoughts of 'is this job right for me?' to herself, as it's obviously something which would be used against her. In fairness to her, though, she didn't say the opposit the day after when she was sat with SAS - she changed her mind back about 2 hours after she origianlly said 'I don't know if I should be here'. I think it was a moment of weakness, and wondering if she was right for it (as surely everyone must at some point in such a rigorous process?) which she (stupidly!) voiced, before getting a grip on herself and realising she wouldn't have worked for 10 weeks to get to the semi final if she didn't actually want it. She withdrew the comment later the same day, rather than just changing her story in the boardroom when the heat was on, which is more than can be said for many candidates this year. Claire for the win, methinks.
