The whole series of celeb teachers is a bit bizarre. I mean surely the bbc could find 5 famous people 6 year old kids would know, people who star in their children's tv shows or one of little mix. The kids might actually engage with it then.

The whole celebrity teacher is a bit offensive to be honest. It makes it look like 5 years of training is worthless as a celebrity with no higher education qualifications at all can come in and teach. We get enough stick as it is for having too many holidays (lies as we are in work for some of them and work far more than our paid hours). Why not get someone who is actually qualified?

I don’t think that would be so bad if as I said they got celebs who would engage the kids. I mean if Geri had taught English when I was a kid I'd have for sure watched and listened. Geri just isn't going to get that engagement from kids though but there are celebs who could that appeal to children.

It's still just as bad... get someone like Dua Lipa... yeah because she could really teach a classroom full of children English! It will be something stupid like Geri's last one where she talks about how to write a story and then people watching think "oh this teaching malarky is easy, screw teacher pay rises they had 6 months off last year "(I WISH)

Deep Down makes an appearance during the video, and the clip of a new (very good) unknown song is played towards the end. Hopefully they go with it for the lyrics thing this week.

So impressed with how much her voice has grown. Travelling Light in particular showcased some impressive vox.

So no lyric video this week seemingly, I wonder if the lack of success of rainbow woman and this seemingly being a big year for the Spice Girls has Geri deciding she is over this now. Would be pretty Geri, she has thrown in the towel on most things the last 15 years as soon as it under performed or she got bored.

Ok, I'm afraid the execution of this got even messier than the project itself - we got 2x lyrics videos for Hallelujah, and none for the new episode, which included not one but two new songs :???:

 

Looks like she's already teasing the next episode so I have a feeling she's going to leave LVs behind moving forward =|

Enjoyed the content aswell brought back memories of going on a schooltrip to the Butterfly farm.

I love how this video starts with Geri being stunned that a butterfly is real...inside a butterfly farm. Dear...

 

Anyway. I'm glad Without Love has finally shown up. It's probably in my top three of her recent unreleased songs. It's a gorgeous song and, I think...maybe even my favorite of her solo ballads? This version in the video definitely has some different lyrics to the version we know from the leak. I like this second song too...and I'm glad to hear a newer song be upbeat and fun. She has a tendency to lean toward the introspective songs now. I'm glad to see the occasional little flash of the old Geri now and then.

 

I still have no idea what to make of this YouTube page, but I honestly do think she has a strong set of songs she's teasing (...which will likely remain as teases...)

I honestly think once these original 13 episodes was it are released she will abandon this project and those songs will never get released. I'd be happy to be proven wrong, especially her releasing the songs but I just get a feeling she will want to be in charge of anything and everything Spice girls this year.

 

Apart from the Olympics every reunion has been Geri pushing hard for it and being the driving force behind it materialising. She got the 4 girls on board in 2007 and pushed for it to happen without Mel C which made Mel C do it. She was the main reason the musical ever happened and was the one to give it one last try with Mel C in 2018 that eventually Mel C said yes to when it was stadiums.

 

Mel C was kind of joking about Geri managing them but they do still let her take the reigns and push through with things and now she is back on board I can't see that being any different this time.

That's not true about her pushing for the 2007 reunion without Mel C I vividly recall it being said that Geri was the one who talked Mel into doing it.

 

They were going to go on without her either way but to say Geri pushed for that is an untruth. Virgin were going to release a greatest hits in 2007 no matter what and that was the motivation for the reunion at that time.

You can believe what you want but Geri was the reason 2007 happened and you can say she convinced Mel C but it was a 'we are doing this anyway so you'll be missing out' thing not a Mel C we need you thing. That's why 2007 never was the girls being super close, it was done with Mel C a bit held to ransome.

 

Headlines was basically Geri too and Emma along for the ride.

I mean, Geri has the drive to get things done, she just haven't got a drive to fulfill those projects all the way through. Another reason why the girls are better together I guess.

Of course she's doing a WHITE Audrey Hepburn dress.

Yeah. I was wondering what conversations were going on in her team that made her decide to stop the hangovers. My guess is her team noticed the reactions were getting pretty negative to the talking over the songs...and they'd rather just yank them down than recut them. There's also the possibility she had a crew contracted to edit all the videos a while back. They're done...and recutting isn't an option. So...choose not to post rather than deal with the comments section again?

 

I guess it's also possible they're testing the water to see if the views for the Sunday videos would go up with only one post a week. She's close to 30K views on the latest vid...which is quite a bit more than any of her videos since the one she delivers boxes of...something?...to healthcare workers.

The only reason any of her videos get more views than the average 10-15k is if they get featured somewhere. This latest video was in conjuction with Grazia mag so they had it on an article.

 

Usually it's tabloids that might feature one though, the Sun or whatever making an article about it.
