i like it but then i like timbaland's production. it doesn't feel like or sounds like a madonna song. its more like a timbland track with justin and madonna. its a risk coming back with a collobo heavy track cause it seems you have to rely on others to get a hit. i read madonna wanted "candy store" with just her as the lead single not this but warner had the final say.

 

you can imagine nelly or gwen making a song like this, its not distinctive to madonna. its timbaland style 100%. this track would have been so good if britney was with justin, it would have suited her voice better and would have been a more exciting combination.

 

i like it but i don't want it to immediately go into the top 10 i think rushing it is a bit silly

I've heard so many people saying she is trying to be like Nelly Furtado.

 

In a way i think she is. This song has a very "Promiscuous" vibe. Male + Female parts.

I probably didnt say it right (Omg Nelly song) . She isnt trying to be like Nelly i wouldnt say, its just a tried and tested formula. Its been done already. So its similar...

 

I actually havent been so addicted to a song since "Maneater". 4 Minutes is very addictive.

 

Obviously i couldnt give a $h!t if its been done before because its fantastic and thats all that matters really.

 

People who say Madonna is just a bandwagon jumper are a bit daft, because basically i dont think there is one female artist of today, that hasnt been inspired by Madonna.

Not only is it a second rate Timbaland song in which Madonna simply feels a ''featuring'' artist, it is a horribly contrived and manipulated attempt to try and remain relevant in the US against the majority of female artists overshadowing her musically. it's attempt to be some sort of ''classic'' is also a big downfall, as not only can it live up to the hype, the song really isn't that good for any of the artists involved.

 

It'll be a hit initially, but the real test will be 3-4 weeks from now when the initial hype has died down and we'll see how successful it is then.

It's ok. It is probebly a grower, but it is suprising for Madge to jump on such a bandwaggon and for it to sound so similar to the rest of Timbaland tracks. Oh well, it will give her what she wants - a huge hit in America.

i can just see kylie doing a timberland duet :lol: but the 'x' album proves that kylie still makes great pop/dance music!!!!

 

this track is awesome, i liked it when i heard it on monday but when i heard it again on tuesday it was into love, and ive downloaded it so hopefully this will get top 2 by sunday and i wouldnt be surprised if this is a future number 1, such a brilliant song!!!!!!

First time I heard it I thought it had #1 written all over it, and I still believe that now. I really like the track - is not one of Timbaland's best productions, but the catchy hooks in the songs make up for it.

 

I do agree what someone said earlier about this track not really testing Madonna. This track isn't even Madonna, it's Madonna & Justin. This is be HUGE (as it's already proving to be) but the 2nd single should be interesting. But as for the album cover, the less that's said about that the better...

Sounds a bit of a mess imo, agree with the comments about it not being a Madonna track at all, im rather sick of the Timbaland sound now, its like 1999-2002 when everyone threw themselves at Max Martin to get at hit and now its just waiting for the next music craze to come along which will probably be at some point this year.

It's just so god damn see through, Gwen was calling TSE 'Ear Candy' or 'Candyland' - got rid of those tracks and went with TSE. Then magically, with the same producer, Madonna comes out with an album inspired by the same thing, oh wait - no, her 'love of candy'. :rolleyes:

It's not like Gwen has never copied/been inspired by Madonna, but Madonna will make this her complete imagining - how she came up with this amazing ground breaking record. etc.
