Well sales doesn't equal quality is what I'm getting at really and the fact that as I said it's about catering for their audiences and what they want to hear, their pop audience for young people will want to hear something like Duffy or Pigeon Detectives and their urban audience will be more interested in Flo Rida and their Indie (as in actual Indie) will like Futureheads or Last Shadow Puppets and so on.

But they give priorities to certain audiences that they cater for over others, that's what I was trying to say. Hence my disapproval of this A-listing. But I was totally expecting it cos certain artists will always go A-list.

Well, duh! They don't claim to be completely unbiased towards any genres. They playlist lots of pop, R&B and indie. They don't playlist much trance, or metal - it's just the type of station they are.

Yes they do claim to be unbiased, they say how they don't represent any genre in particular. And i'm talking about 4 main genres (pop, urban, dance, and indie-rock) which are the ones they mention, which are not equally represented imo. Anyway let's move on shall we...
