I guess they have different criteria's depending on the artists. Stuff from Pigeon Detectives, Foo Fighters, etc...will stay on the playlist for quite a while even if the singles flop, as we saw with their previous singles

To be fair they're hardly leaving anything on there for long now. Just Duffy which is fair enough considering its been number one for five weeks.
:( Taio Cruz is doing quite well with his album too! Shame Radio 1 are just trying to be 'Cool', they cant see the real hits! :(
I'll post my opinions on the playlist whenever I want to thank you, even if you agree or not <_< I think its stupid and typical for Radio 1 to A-list 3rd and 4th singles that are bound to flop when other songs that have far more hit potential could use the support instead

It's not about 'hit potential' or how much they're gonna sell it's about musical QUALITY and what will appeal to their audience, the singles may not do well but it'll boost the band's album and it'll be what their listeners want to hear, so do you want Westlife or Cliff Richard's next singles to be on the playlist? After all they have 'hit potential' as they're likely to go top ten :P

The thing is, it won't boost their album sales, the album hasnt climbed at all since the release of the song to radio. I'm not talking about Westlife,etc.., but I think other songs deserved to be A-listed instead.
