I stopped watching this properly years ago, but to answer the question why the Undertaker never has long title reigns, I'd say he's being used as a stop-gap champion. The Undertaker is hugely popular with or without a title so he's being brought in now so they can train someone else up to main event status for, ooh, Summerslam or whatever.

 

I think this is the same reason HHH will come out as champ too - a transitionary period where they can have someone with years of ring experience make a youngster look good in a future PPV main event. The youngsters need the belt (Cena, Batista, Orton etc) so people will recognise them, but the veterans don't - that's why their reigns tend to be shorter.

 

I believe Randy Orton has been calling himself 'the legend killer' - that's been part of his push to the top. He 'beats' well-travelled stars who know exactly how to make his inadequacies look good by selling them properly.

But has anyone else noticed how WWE have been promoting the triple threat match as just Cena vs Triple H... and probably setting up for a feud between them two after WM?? Its not fair TBH since Orton has become Champ, the WWE have made him look foolish and not made him be as 'Evil' as he used to be BEFORE having the championship! The last time he punted someone, it was in his rivalry against Jeff when he punted Matt! But Orton has not done anything like that snce being champ (With the exception ive just made :P lol)

I don't agree Orton is an increadible in ring performer. Whenever he has the upper hand in a match, he spends most of his time doing nothing but sleeper holds. Seriously, if you were to add up all the time he spends doing sleepers, it would be an extremly large number :lol: He is a very good athlete, his dropkicks etc are among the finest ever, and he is a good technical wrestler, but overall I find he lacks alot. He rarely ever does power moves of any kind. He used to have some excellent neckbreaker thing, where he lifted the opponent up on his shoulders and dropped them on their neck. He did it to Benoit at Summerslam when he won the title in 04, but I have'nt seen him do it much since, which is annoying as he is a pretty big guy so it's not as if he would have a problem doing them. And what has happened to his physique? He is nowhere near as big as he was even a year ago. Obviously he is obying the Wellness policy ^_^

 

I wonder how long it will take before HHH is made a heal again? I bet it won't be too long, because he has been a good guy for ages now, longer than ever before I think, and usually when he is champ he has a heel. Personally, I think they should make Cena a heel. He gets booed hugely anyway. I guess the kids would stop buying all the merchandice then though, but look what happened with the Rock over a decade ago, he was a good guy and got booed just like Cena, and then turned heal and it worked excellently. Then once he concerted to being a babyface he become one of the most popular wrestlers of all time. I guess it is pointless comparing Cena with the Rock though, as the only real thing they have in common is being great on the mic (although obviously Cena is nowhere near in Rocks league in that department and never will be). Apart from that there is really nothing else, because the Rock was an amazing wrestler and athlete who had the ability to make an exciting match, even if he was against a terrible wrestle. Also very few ever have sold to their oppenents as good as the Rock did. He always made whoever he was against look really good, especially when he got a chockslam, he would jump about ten feet in the air :lol: Oh how I miss the good old days with the Rock, HHH, Austin, Foley, Taker etc, back in the attitude era :wub:

Yes Orton does do alot of sleeper holds now but he has the ability of a great performer and is definately better than most people in the ring nowadays! (We all know he is not in Undertakers league - Who is lol)

OMG, did anyone see the Hall Of Fame last night. The Rock's return was absolutely amazing. He slagged off loads of wrestlers like only the Rock can. I have'nt laughed so much at wrestling in years. It made me realise how much I miss him in wrestling. He is just so bloody entertaining and funny, and makes everyone else seem boring compared to him. He is like a stand up comedian :lol: His dig at Cena was classic :rofl:
