Crazy by Gnarls got deleted because the Company wanted them to release more stuff and they thought this would stop them ever having another hit again!

And, as a small addition to this......"Jack Your Body" by Steve Silk Hurley SHOULD (according to chart rules at the time) have been excluded from the chart for an overlong running time. For some reason however, it wasn't and made No.1.

There was also Pop! with Heaven and Earth which had its 2 track excluded the week after its release cos it was 30 seconds too long or something like that

No they didn't - they made No10 with Smiley Faces a few months later. Admittedly, no-one can remember it…

 

And, wasn't one of the CDs for Ronan Keating's WYSNAA ineligble for the chart due to having three tracks plus a CD-R interview?

It was still allowed in MRIB`s top 75. After falling to 5, Crazy went 7, 11, 14, 22, 21, and then fell from the top 30, when Smiley Faces entered.

Spare a thought for poor Daniel Powter who is currently consigned to the one hit wonder category due to a chart exclusion. His follow up, Free Loop contained a version of Bad Day, and as the latter was still charting, his second single was removed from the charts!

Stop The Clocks E.P. - Oasis, was disqualified because it contained too many tracks. It was an import, and on a physical chart it would have been no` 1 in November 2006. On a combined download/physical chart it would have settled for a top 5 place.

It was Life Is A Rollercoaster. It went straight in to number one despite one of the CDs being excluded. The second week it fell to number 2 in favour of 5ive's We Will Rock You however if both CDs had been counted it would have stayed at number one for a second week.

I only realised that a couple days ago. And I would have preferred that at No1 rather than the dire cover of We Will Rock You. :wacko:
