7.5: Bumblebeez – Rio (12”) - This is okayyyy, it's not too everyones tastes though I don't think.

8.0: The Count & Sinden – Beeper - A lot of people find this annoying, I quite like it myself.

3.5: Courteeners - Not Nineteen Forever - Another AWFUL release from the band. Soooo boring.

7.8: Danny Dove and Steve Smart feat Amanda Wilson – The Need In Me (12”) - This is quite good, like this a lot.

8.4: frYars - The Perdify (EP) (7”) [Limited] - Three very good songs there, great.

7.5: Kooks - Always Where I Need To Be - I quite like this Kooks song. Not as much as 'Naive' or 'She Moves In Her Own Way' but as Kooks songs go, it's not bad.

8.8: Mariah Carey - Touch My Body - Loveeee this and I dunno why, haha.

6.7: Radiohead – Nude - There's MUCH better on the album for them to releases, this is one of the worst tracks on there imo.

8.7: Roisin Murphy – You Know Me Better - Great track, fantastic album as well. She's so underrated as well.

7.9: Sonic Hearts – To Be Someone - Good track this.

8.7: The Whitest Boy Alive – Golden Cage (12”) - I liked this a lot when I first heard it, I'e gone off it sligtly now though. Still very good.

6.9 - The Count & Sinden – Beeper - Annoying on first listen but it grows on you. I really quite like it. I'm suprised it's not doing better than it is tbh.

0.9 - Kooks - Always Where I Need To Be - Completelt generic and repetitive, I'm disgusted by the success it is getting

7.2 - Mariah Carey - Touch My Body - By no means her best single but there is something about it I love.

5.8 - Roisin Murphy - You Know Me Better - Better than her other song but still I don't get why everyone on here is bumming it to death.

Bullet For My Valentine - Hearts Burst Into Fire 4/10 (Not really my cup of tea)

Kooks - Always Where I Need To Be 5/10 (I hate this band so much, but I can just about stand to listen to this song)

The La’s - There She Goes (7”) 8/10 (A classic song really... why the re-release though?)

Mariah Carey - Touch My Body 0/10 :puke2: :puke2: Utterly awful, even by her standards.

Radiohead – Nude 5/10 (It's ok, as much as I respect Radiohead I'm not a big fan. I only really like 4 songs of theirs)

Roisin Murphy – You Know Me Better 9/10 (This is a perfect pop song, it really deserves to do well)

I can't understand why this is blazing up iTunes because it is about as generic as an pop/indie crossover could be. With a chorus that isn't in the slightest bit memorable, AWINTB could almost be from a different band who gave us the magical Naive. 2/10

 

Mariah Carey - Touch My Body

I think people expected something louder than this for Mariah's hugely-anticipated return but it works just perfectly. A major grower, TMB possesses an amusing set of lyrics and a wonderfully simple backing track and chorus which will lodge itself in your head. 9/10

 

Roisin Murphy – You Know Me Better

This was one song I didn't expect to fall in love with! I happened to stumble upon it when I saw Popjustice rave about it a while back and for a couple of months now it's been my favourite pop song. Meaningful, beautiful lyrics and a fabulously infectious beat. The chorus will most likely never leave your head and the breakdown nearer the end is almost moving! Amazing, amazing song. 10/10!
