I don't have many new albums either and I use my last.fm album chart, so I always end up having old albums in my chart that will have no influence on this chart at all. I have a few current albums that end up in my chart though so I'm not that bad.

It doesn't matter when the albums are released. Yeah if an album was released more than 2 years ago there is a very little chance of it getting in the Top 40 but it still shows what YOU listen to. :P

Really it's up to you haha. ;D I like to keep my album chart current so I can help some new albums do well in the chart, but ultimately it's up to you how you want to do it.
