April 16, 200817 yr Scooch went top 5 last year and Daz Sampson went top 10 in 2006...but they did get the kiddie sales which Andy won't get... Yeah and as much as i didnt really like the song, they were both better than Andy's!
April 16, 200817 yr Agree with Madonna. I am pleased that somebody else likes Heartbreaker as well. Wiley should do well also.
April 16, 200817 yr Wiley - Wearing My Rolex is a tuneage 'nd half. But all the chavs were playing it on the bus t'other day.
April 16, 200817 yr Author :( Cant believe how many people like that awful Wiley rubbish! :puke: I'm loving it! when it appears on iTunes I'll be buying it
April 16, 200817 yr Wideboys feat Shaznay Lewis - Daddy O could it be the last big garage hit following T2 and H 'Two' O, it usually goes in three's I think you are right there about the LAST big garage hit. I think now there are lots of songs being rush released in time for the summer, the market will be saturated and everything will flop and the revival might collapse because of labels getting too excited... But all the chavs were playing it on the bus t'other day. The chavs i know only play songs on the bus months after release, they take so long to find out about a song
April 16, 200817 yr They really should have saved Cahill until June/July :( That could have been this years Lola's Theme! And this years Summer Smash! But like you guys are saying they are Rush Releasing the summer tracks! Probably hoping they will do an Umbrella which was released late May last year! :(
April 16, 200817 yr The chavs i know only play songs on the bus months after release, they take so long to find out about a song  It's kinda the same with me, a few weeks ago at school I heard chavs playing "Ayo Technology" like it's the best song ever. <_<
April 17, 200817 yr Wiley - Wearing My Rolex is a tuneage 'nd half. But all the chavs were playing it on the bus t'other day. And we all know what good taste they've got... :)
April 17, 200817 yr After reading some good comments, I watched the video to Love Song by Sara Bareilles and I think it is a brilliant track. With the right airplay, it could do another Hey There Delilah. The video is very good as well. I predict number 2 for this track.

Oh Jesus!!!! - that's all we need, another Hey There Deliliah! - how $h!te
April 18, 200817 yr Author Oh Jesus!!!! - that's all we need, another Hey There Deliliah! - how $h!te its absolutely nothing like Hey There Delilah, its a mid-tempo quirky piano pop song, not a dreary slow ballad...I can't think of two songs that sound less alike
April 18, 200817 yr 'Love Song' is like a one-woman Panic at the Disco song made dauntingly less emo. A bit of MoR and generally quite awful imo. I can only presume therefore that it'll become a staple song for the top 10 over the coming weeks, months and perhaps even years.

I really don't want to hear this record! ;) .. it sounds painful - and to be honest if it's a big hit in the US then it's bound to be really $h!te!
April 18, 200817 yr Author I really don't want to hear this record! ;) .. it sounds painful - and to be honest if it's a big hit in the US then it's bound to be really $h!te! well it was big because it was on a Napster advert, much like the way Feist's 1234 and Yael Naim's New Soul came to be big there... the US charts are mainly country and hip hop because those are the genres that they are force fed on their radios... Panic At The Disco  its more in the Regina Spektor, Sarah McLachlan mould...its certainly nowhere near emo

They do quirky piano-pop in a similar vein to Sara. They neither dress nor sound similar to any predominant 'emo' bands (Paramore, 30 Seconds to Mars, Cute Is What We Aim For etc). She's too mainstream-sounding to be like Regina I'd say. Nowhere near as delicate. You should check out The Hush Sound Rich, the similarities are uncanny...

Nowhere near as delicate. You should check out The Hush Sound Rich, the similarities are uncanny... Panic's second album is very piano-pop yes though their first album was much more 'theatrical emo' if there is such a genre...I wouldn't say Sara's album is quirky in any way though, its a very conventional singer/songwriter album throughout... her voice isn't as unique as Regina's, I agree with that... she is quite similar to The Hush Sound, I'm aware of that band as my sister is a huge fan of Decaydance/Fueled by Ramen and all of its acts...but only on Love Song really...the rest of the album is far less quirky than that single...I would compare her to some of the singers from the late 90's singer songwriter boom in the US/Canada and Xylem, Terra Naomi yes, but she's not as laidback and mellow as Colbie, there's much more 'oomph' to her music
