Sweet About Me is still in the top 20 though, i know SAM was originally realesead in March but they should have at least waited until it left the top 20.

It's peaked at #33 this week
Extremly dissapointing. Its done better than Dont Want To Go To Bed did in Australia though.
Oh has it, sorry i was under the impression it had gone to soemething like #60.
This is my problem with Gabi Cilmi, 'Sweet About Me' was good and a deserved hit but the rest of the album is pure pants. I can't see anything else from her album being a hit. Hopefully her next album will be a bit more mature.
LOL i completly disagree with you, the album is stunning and has 6/7 songs that would make great singles. One of my top albums this year.
Really? I seriously can't hear hits on this album. I think the majority of the songs would flop if they were ever to be released in the UK.
How many times have you listened to the album because it took me quite a few listens to really start liking some of the songs.
I agree Aled, the album took me a good 3 or 4 listens...perhaps there aren't many 'hits' on it, but there are some extremely strong songs on there
Just because an album doesn't have any 'hits' left on it doesn't make it a bad thing necessarily. I hate to be typical and bring my favourite artists into it, but I think 'Music City Soul' by Beverley Knight had no songs on it that could be hits on it (except maybe 'Black Butta') but that doesn't stop me from thinking it's a good album. It's pretty much the same for Sara Bareilles, Estelle and Ida Maria's albums for me - I don't think there's much else on the album that would do really well but I still like the albums a lot.
Yes Aaron you are completly right, another example would be Jordin Sparks and possibly Ashlee Simpson aswell, loads of great songs but as singles they would be a diaster. Ashlee is a great example of an album of which i love every song but they would all flop except perhaps Boys. Gabriella has Sanctuary and Got No Place To Go of which both might have done a bit better than Save The Lies.

And ended her career instantaeneously.

It MUST be Got No Place To Go next. It's Girls Aloud-esque and it's all that will get into the Top 10.

I'm sorry that post was meant for the Lady GaGa thread not this one.

But on the topic, I understand what you mean about albums with no hits on them being good. An example of mine would be Carrie Underwood's Some Hearts, nothing other than 'Before He Cheats' would be a hit in the UK, yet i still love the album.

I think Save The Lies was a fantastic song...

The British public are dumb for not rocketing it to the Top 10 imo

oh i fell in love with her  I HATE Sweet About Me tho :o
