It is time legislation was bought in outlawing strikes in essential services in this country such as emergency services, security forces, transport services, fuel depots and other areas that are essential to the infrastructure of this country

The nation should not be allowed to be held to ransom like this, it is time strikes in essential services were made illegal

tbh i find it hard to argue against you on this, though im sure scott will ! if he ever gets back online.

This will escalate rapidly I'm quite sure. They are now saying 50% of North Sea Oil production could be affected. Maybe it has a chance of making BBC/Sky News now. Oh and by the way, the garages in the nearest town to me have no petrol. Again.

its on BBC news 24 ^_^

one of the headlines, well, now that half of the petrol stations have no petrol and BP are shutting the pipeline which supplies half of southern england that is

Exactly. If this was only going to affect Scotland and North England there wouldn't be a cheep about it on any of the News channels.

Main Headline on the 6 o'clock news

Grangemouth is shut and BP are away to shut the most important pipe in the country tomorrow, there preparing it to be shut tonight

Exactly. If this was only going to affect Scotland and North England there wouldn't be a cheep about it on any of the News channels.

Well I've been trying to find some unleaded petrol today. No joy. I must have visited 5 petrol stations. The big one in Hamilton is out and they say they aren't getting another delivery until Thursday next week. I don't know where all these reporters on the News are reporting from where they're saying there is no evidence of panic buying and most stations are running normally. Maybe they've been told to say that because things sure as feck aren't normal around where I live. There is no bloody petrol!!!! :arrr:
We all know reporters will go to just 1 petrol station see cars coming in and out, and report the 'news'

Fife seems to be ok, well the north east anyway.

Our price is 105.9 at morrisons in st andrews and between 106.9 & 110.9 everywhere else

I managed to get £15 worth of unleaded today. That should last me till the weekend if I only drive to and from work and nowhere else. ^_^

Shell and BP's profits are up 45% and the government are raking in an extra £123million in VAT

Thieving gits.

a reduction in fuel tax would reduce the pressure on millions of motorists and would leave more money for people to spend on food and energy. Then again the Government dont make as much money of them
