Posted April 23, 200817 yr Coldplay will release the first fruits from their forthcoming new album, 'Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends', free with the NME. A free Coldplay 7-inch vinyl single will be given away with the issue of NME that comes out on May 7. The vinyl will include 'Violet Hill', a song that will appear on the forthcoming LP. Another song, 'A Spell A Rebel Yell', will feature on the vinyl, and won't be available anywhere else. To ensure you get your copy of the exclusive Coldplay vinyl you can pre-order your issue from NME.COM at the NME online shop. The album, the follow-up to 2005's 'X&Y', will be released on June 16. sadly this means im going to have to buy NME that week. :(

Coldplay Ready Free Single & Concerts, Reveal Album Art 4/28/08, 10:35 am EST Coldplay refurbished their website this weekend as they prepare for the release of their new album Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends. First, Chris Martin and the gang will allow fans to download first single “Violet Hill” for free starting tomorrow at 12:15pm U.K. time (7:15am EST.) The single will only be available for free for one week. Additionally, Coldplay will play two free concerts, including one on June 23rd at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Details on how to get tickets to the MSG show and the free show at London’s Brixton Academy will be announced soon. May 8, 200817 yr I bought the NME for the first time in ages just to get this ^_^ After I pledged not to ever again after the 'Morrissey is racist' jibe <_< However I'm impressed with the new layout and I reccommend people pick it up to read the very interesting Coldplay interview :D
May 10, 200817 yr The Coldplay interview is excellent - and this is the first time I have bought NME in over 10 years :o I don't have a record player to listen to the vinyl though :(
