By the way I should thank Pixie, Isabel, Janelle, Suzie and Metro Station for great performances and for choosing Herzebania as a stop on their promo tours :)

I do watch the video every time a concert is put on in Herzebania by the way, so it's not completely pointless!

I'll try and make sure Tori repays the visits should she qualify for the final.

Gabriella makes unplanned stop in Herzebania

If you thought Gabriella Cilmi's promo tour wasn't big enough then your about to be very happy indeed as the 17 year old songstress performs an unplanned gig in Herzebania. Tickets for the small concert went on sale at 12.35pm and the 1,500 tickets available were sold out in just 15seconds. She performed a full 80minute set at the intimate gig and she said "I thoroughly enjoyed myself this afternoon. I got a bit excitable after i found out the tickets sold out in 15seconds! i didn't think i had many fans if any at all in Herzebania." The unplanned stop came after Gabriella sang the phone book in FSR Rontvia earlier this morning and is a result of the gig that Gabriella played with Tori Amos in Kopecka.

Ojnoj Update:

Fans here in Ojnoj were treated to a concert of Tori Amos. Where she invited special Guest Gigi D'Alessio to perform a unique performance of one of Ojnoj's most loved entries they have sent into the competition 'Fight the Sky' by Gavin Mikhail. She then went on to perform her BJSC entry 'Silent All These years' she then blasted Ojnoj's current Participant by slating her famous song 'Toxic'. Saying "I do like Britney but that song is truly awful. I always said it would ruin her career after that song, and look it's not being going quite to plan until now has it? Let's be honest?" Despit that Tori then introduced Gigi back on to the stage to a rapturous cheer. The concert went down a storm. The only tense moment was what Tori had said about 'Toxic' but all was forgiven as she introduced Gigi.

Carola To Sue Loose Lingerie

A inside source told the Herzebanian press association this morning that superstar Carola plans to take legal action against the makers of FSR Rontvian hit show "Loose Lingerie" after her public humiliation yesterday, when former singing partner Andreas Johnson surprised her live on air.

"She is not happy," the source told us, "as she made clear boundaries prior to agreeing on the show, which she feels were crossed by Maria and Mira yesterday."

"The appearance was supposed to boost her profile and promote her greatest hits album, but instead she came out of it looking like a fool, and she is after blood."

Things seem to be going from bad to worse for the diva; not only has her greatest hits album seen very poor sales (the first week sales in the Buzzjack world were beaten by the hits collection by Canned Heat), but rumours are circulating that she has failed to recieve a single vote to date in the BJSC rejects competition.

Andreas Johnson was quoted as saying, "It was meant to be a nice surprise but I guess it backfired a little. I thought all the wounds had healed since the contest but obviously not."

Despite Carola's embarrassment, or more likely because of it, ratings for Loose Lingerie have soared in Herzebania, with the late night repeat of yesterday's show gaining 500% on the previous day, and today's show being the most watched programme in the country.

Herzebania Looks Ahead

HbTV are celebrating tonight after Gigi D'Alessio's very respectable 4th place in the Best of BJSC Rejects competition, and the country's successful hosting of the event. Bosses are now looking forward to plans for the new year when they hope the country can show off what it can do by hosting a full event.

"It was great fun to host, so we are really looking hard at our battle plan for next year," an HbTV insider said. "We have some great acts lined up, and now that we've got our foot in the door of the competition we really want to make our mark. We think 2009 will see Herzebania becoming a force to be reckoned with in the Buzzjack Song Contest."

Several artists are reportedly in talks to represent the country in contests next year, with new selection formats being looked at to increase chances of success.

Meanwhile, a low-key campaign is planned for Herzebania's entry for BJSC XII; No promotional tour has been planned, and an internal selection has been taking place to choose the song. The country's 7th entry to the Buzzjack Song Contest will be unveiled on Monday 1st December on the hit show "Loose Lingerie."

Potential 2009 Entries

Heyhey. Just to ask people's opinions on a few old/new songs I've stumbled across, and how they think they might do as BJSC entries for next year.

I've got a few in mind that I'm definitely entering and won't be giving away at this point! But these are potential ones which could have varying degrees of success. You'll know some of them. Let me know what you think!

Vanessa Amorosi - Perfect

Sash! - Just Around The Hill

Vanessa Struhler - One Single Tear

Idina Menzel - Gorgeous

They could all flop I know!! But there are a few songs I am confident about which I haven't posted here...these are the possibilities I am more unsure about so don't be afraid to say they'll all come last in the semi. I'd like to know what people think of them :)

Perfect  I considered that for BJSCV before I went with Sibel in the end, then again, I also considered Charlotte Hatherley and No Angels too, I was very indecisive, not that it caused the host any problems of course :kink:

Here is the official video for the song. Enjoy :)

Inner Massivia's "Some Kind Of Fool Tour" hits Herzebania

On the Seventh day of their "Some Kind Of Fool" tour, rather than resting, Inner Massivia arrived in fellow Quilvorian country Herzebania for a concert in the English speaking colony of Woodham.

First up on the day was our entry into this month's XIIth contest, Leona Lewis with her collaboration with MC Anon, Fool:

Leona bows to the crowd. As she walks off she announces: "Next up is one of my favourite female artists, Sarah McLachlan":

An angel indeed. Following Sarah is an up-and-coming artist Melanie Fiona with her debut single:

We'll be hearing much more of Melanie in future. Next up is another of Leona's favourite artists India Arie:

Completely stunning. Leona returns for the last song of the evening:

A great reception for Leona and all her guest artists. Inner Massivia would like to pass on their thanks to the people of Herzebania for their warm welcome and generous hospitality. We hope they enjoyed the concert and we wish them in BJSC XII.

13.....Lucky for Herzebania?

After what is looking increasingly like three consecutive flops for Herzebania, executives at HbTV are reminding the Herzebanian population and indeed the rest of Buzzjack of their pledge to put the country on the BJSC map in 2009 and bring a string of good results home.

After giving a taster of some potential entries for next year, but keeping a few trick cards under wraps, Herzebanian officials have announced that an internal selection will once again take place to select the country's 8th entry, for January 2009.

While it was reported that the main few songs being planned to make 2009 Herzebania's year were to be kept strictly secret by HbTV, it has now been announced that due to a potential leak of the songs, and risk of competition from other countries, one of the possible songs for January will be made public tomorrow after the semi-final of BJSC XII.

In the mean time, even if you don't feel like putting a couple of votes in its direction, enjoy Herzebania's festive entry for BJSC XII, "Grown Up Christmas List" by Monica :)

Belinda Arrives in Herzebania

Kingdom of Shadow's latest entry into the BJSC has tonight arrived in Herzebania to perform for the seasonal Herzebanian crowds. The very christmassy country has quite obviously got into the Xmas spirit early and Belinda commented 'It's beautiful to come to this country at such an important time of year, I hope I can bring a little christmas cheer'. On her flying visit, Belinda first performed 'Takes One To Know One' before getting the crowds moving with 'If We Were', a song which was rumoured to be this months BuzzJack entry when Belinda was first announced. Finally 'At The End of the Day', the eventual BJSC entry was performed to bring the concert to a close.

Merry Christmas!

Ojnoj Update:

Gavin Mikhail performed for a sell out crowd again tonight. But this time in the lovely country of, Herzebania. Gavin was quite astounded when he saw how bright and intelligent some of the Herzabanians were. "They are incredibly intelligent, wealthy people here. They also have a nice personality and they are so funny. Definately amongst the nicest people I've met on the tour." This month Herzabania are going all festive and sending a christmas entry to BJSC XII. The time finally came for Gavin to perform, he started off with his Rejects "hit" "Fight the Sky". The crowd were nicely warmed up as he started singing "Catch Your Fall" and "Sight Unseen". He then went into a Christmas medley of "I Wish It Could Be Christmas, Everday", "All I Want For Christmas" and he finished off by performing his own, unique version of Herzebania's entry "Grown Up Christmas List". He finished off the whole set by thanking the fans for coming, and performed his entry to BJSC XII "Brave".

Ojnoj Entry: Gavin Mikhail - Brave

Next Stop: Quotosibb (9th Dec) (Loose Lingerie: 8th December)

Lisa Mitchell makes her first of two stops today... firstly starting at Herzebania performing her BJSC entry Neopolitan Dreams.

Monica flops....But could this be Herzebania's next entry??

Monica's "Grown Up Christmas List" gave Herzebania its biggest flop to date after finishing last in the semi-final with just 19 points in BJSC XII.

However, keeping yesterday's promise, here is a taster of what is to come in 2009; a potential entry to January's contest for Herzebania, as HbTV chiefs step the country's efforts up a gear for the new year.

And it is a song dipped in a thick coating of irony, as the artist originally meant to be competing for the country in January's contest with a different song which was snapped up by another country first, actually may get to enter next month after all!

This is Agnes Carlsson with Release Me.

Comments would be appreciated :)

More info will come as the month unfolds.

great choice, potential winner

has potential to be my xmas No.1 actually

Oh you! :kink:

I don't think anything could stop this being my 12 pointer and would be incredibly surprised if it didn't win. :P

DO IT!

I'll probably end up entering this if you dont. The others i've been thinking about for next month would either be too cheap or would end up crashing out in the semi's.
