May 5, 200817 yr $h!t a big drop for elbow :( was hoping it would hold up better untill the next single.. looks like it has had its time in the top75.
May 5, 200817 yr That's really quite great for Elbow I think, they never previously had an album remain more than 5 weeks in the chart, especially consecutively. I'm not sure the next single will do much for it as they're not a singles band and the singles they release do very little to help the album. I'm glad to see they appear to have got more recognition this time around as they're a brilliant band, although this doesn't compare to Asleep In The Back and Cast Of Thousands for me.
May 5, 200817 yr In My Arms Is My fav Kylie Song from this album.. possibly my fav kylie song ever :kink:
May 5, 200817 yr Madonna makes history again: no other female solo artist has had simultaneous number ones more than once. in uk singles and album chart
May 5, 200817 yr Madonna makes history again: no other female solo artist has had simultaneous number ones more than once. in uk singles and album chart No other female artist has lasted as long as her have they? or been as successful either, you've got your diva acts like Dion and Houston, but they don't chart and sell anymore like Madonna still does. I don't like a lot of her new stuff but she's still the best and most exciting solo female artist in the world by far.

Amen  :D
May 6, 200817 yr As for Kylie, you expressed an opinion, and others put their points of view across - its called debate and discussion. Although, in this day and age, you have to have the same opinion as everyone else. (Someone once had a go at me because I admitted that, Creep aside, I dislike Radiohead.)

May 6, 200817 yr Besides Madonna, only 2 other Acts with Female Artists in them have done the 'Double Top' more than once. ABBA did it 4 times - just like Madonna - in 1976, 1977, 1978, & 1980. The Spice Girls did it twice - 1996 & 1997. Of the 3 Acts, ABBA have managed to Top both Charts the longest - 13 Weeks. Madonna is on 8 Weeks, (so far), & The Spice Girls managed 5 Weeks.
May 7, 200817 yr 66 N 1 Hadouken! Declaration Of War So much for them saying that they'd make their singles barred from the charts.
