Madonna's chart reign set to continue

Madonna looks on course to repeat her chart double this week, by once again topping albums and singles charts with Hard Candy and 4 Minutes (both Warner Bros) respectively.

Sam Sparro’s Black And Gold (Island) looks to be 4 Minutes’ closes competitor, in a static singles chart, with Wiley’s Wearing My Rolex (Asylum) a close third.

Kylie Minogue’s In My Arms (Parlophone) looks set to challenge for a top ten placing, while James Fox’s Bluebirds Flying High (Plastic Tomato) should make the top forty.

On the albums chart, Hard Candy’s strongest challenge for the top slot comes from Scooter’s Jumping All Over The World (AATW), while both Def Leppard’s Songs From The Sparkle Lounge (Bludgeon Riffola) and Hadouken’s Music For An Accelerated Culture (Surface Noise) should make the top ten.

PLEASE NOTE

I won't be around during the day this week apart from late afternoons, hopefully someone else can fill my boots while I'm away. But please do not post full lists, you all know the format.

Please keep this thread on topic at all times, I do not want to repeat myself every week, no text talk is allowed, do not write in block CAPS, and keep all requests in one post if you can, and try to read the thread topic before asking a question and please be patient while you are waiting for your question to be answered. I know some threads get long winded, and its a bummer to read through, but surely it can't be that hard if you bookmark the page...

While you wait for your weekly dose of chart info to arrive after 11am sometime take part in our pinned games, not all updates are guaranteed every day but we try our hardest to keep the info coming in every day. Please do not post lists, or sales info unless you are told to by myself or a chart mod, if you do have sales info that you wish to share round them off to the nearest thousand and name your source, do not post precise sales figures.

Thank you for your time.

IF ANYONE SPAMS THIS TOPIC TO HIGH HEAVEN WILL BE GIVEN A WARNING, NOT REALLY VERY NICE FOR GUESTS TO READ ALL THE CLAPTRAP

thanks to Eightiespopkid for the info

should be interesting...I would say that I think Sam Sparro could do it but as this is the boringly static UK charts I'm 99% certain it will be a fourth week for Madonna...

hope Sara Bareilles shows up in the top 40, a play on the chart show could help it up a bit in the coming weeks

I hope Gabriella can hold onto top 20/10 in the Singles/Albums another week up their would be amazing
Cant wait to see them this week - Hope Kylie is top ten and i can see Wiley taking the number one slot from Madge in the singles!
it's going to be depressing to see the midweek # for what will most likely be Kylie's first non-top 10 single of the Parlo era

it had to happen sooner or later for Kylie...its the way the charts are nowadays...loads of acts are ruining good chart records because people don't bother buying physical singles anymore and there's no point downloading a track you already have on an album

she'll be top 10 on physicals, I'm certain of it...probably about No.35 on downloads so somewhere in between on the official chart, perhaps between #15 and #20

A peak of 33 on itunes aint exactly a great start.

Even with the new chart rules, a hell of a lot of 3rd, 4th singles make top 20 on itunes.

Yeah i agree :)

The way I'm thinking is, Kylie will probably appear top 10 in the first set of midweeks and perhaps fall out into the top 15 by Sunday. I hope I'm wrong and that some kind of miracle occurs where she defies all the odds...
I reckon Wiley will hit the top this week.

Tuesday Midweeks

Singles

1. Madonna - 4 Minutes

2. Sam Sparro - Black & Gold

3. Wiley - Wearing My Rolex

4. Will.I.Am feat. Cheryl Cole - Heartbreaker

5. Estelle - American Boy

Albums

1. Madonna - Hard Candy

2. Scooter - Jumping All Over The World

3. Duffy - Rockferry

4. Def Leppard - Songs From The Sparkle Lounge

5. Sam Sparro - Sam Sparro

i'm really hoping Kylie gets top 10. She has loads of fans who will buy the physicals regardless (i'm getting all 3  ) and she certainly has a large fan base so she should be OK. hopefully  It will be a huge shame if it doens't because In My Arms is better then both 2 Hearts and Wow

Fingers crossed Madonna makes it a 4th week. Could be one of her longest charting #1s (as much as i love 4 Minutes though it's not as good as some of her previous #1s. Especially Frozen, Vogue, Prayer and Who's that Girl)
