So, I have always been a casual listener of the Knife, but recently they're absolutely all I have been listening to. OMGZ. Genius, no? For those who don't know, The Knife are an electronic duo from Sweden best known for their album 'Silent Shout' (Pitchfork's #1 album of 2006), and their work with Robyn (Who's That Girl?). Oh, and their song Heartbeats, which Jose Gonzalez covered.

I wasn't.

BUT ALL OF THAT HAS CHANGED. :o

And we raise our heads for the color reddddddddd. <3

I like Heartbeats and Kino, but I've not listened to much else of theirs really. I might get one of their albums though.

Yeah the Knife are great - and you should be able to find both Deep Cuts and Silent Shout with the extra DVDs that come with some copies - actually Silent Shout is about a 3 disc set with an additional CD though I havent got that one yet - only Depp Cuts

Probably not the best time to get back into Silent Shout with all this good music about but OH MAN, such a good album! I completely forgot about them thanks to the rather underwhelming After Tomorrow, In a Year but accidentally started listening to The Captain over the weekend. In love all over again.

I completely missed The Knife (what was I doing?) but have now started listening to them after falling in love with the genius of Fever Ray.

I am so in love with Karin Dreijer-Andersson's voice.

Marble House is just

I often think this is my favourite album of the decade so far, certainly within my top 5.

We Share Our Mothers' Health and Pass This On are my favourites from them. Silent Shout (the album) is partially strong but I almost fell asleep every time I listen to it. Wrong track order maybe :P

My favorite The Knife song is "Silent Shout":

The beats, the weird synths sounds, the vocals are just incredible!

I don't find that a bad thing, it tends to mean it's a cohesive listen that you can immerse yourself in. I could fall to sleep to many of my favourite albums.

Listening to this now, the clicky noise at the beginning of Marble House sends shivers down my spine. Silent Shout / We Share Our Mother's Health / Like A Pen / Marble House surely has to be in contention for the best run of singles ever.

Pass This On is one of my favourites too  And Neverland is just awesome!

I like The Knife a lot, they are very cool, but I only have a few songs, which I would like to correct sometime.

Just about finished listening to Silent Shout again and I do wish that One Hit wasn't on it. It sounds really out of place and more like something Goldfrapp would record at their worst. Aside from that, it's pretty flawless.

'Heartbeats' still remains my favourite song, ever.! I adore The Knife <3

'Pass This On' is incredible, as is 'We Share Our Mother's Health' as people have mentioned.

'Silent Shout' is such an amazing album too.

Hmm. Originally I probably would have agreed with you as neither 'One Hit' nor 'From Off to On' particularly interested me but they definitely work within the album. I've never really felt the need to skip over them either.

The Captain remains my favourite (that gorgeous intro!) with We Share Our Mothers' Health a close second. You can definitely see where Iamamiwhoami got their inspiration from.

i still agree with myself 3 years later. the knife/fever ray are one of the most important bands of the last decade.

Ridiculously obsessed with The Knife at the moment. I listened to 'Deep Cuts' a couple of years ago and didn't understand the fuss but I've listened to it recently and it's like I'm listening through NEW EARS. I don't think I'll ever quite 'get' 'Tomorrow, In a Year', but their three albums are brilliant. I haven't listened much to the 'Hannah Med H' soundtrack yet, but I expect that'll be pretty damn good too.

'Deep Cuts' and 'Silent Shout' are definitely superior to their debut, although I'm not sure which I prefer yet.

They're quickly on their way to becoming one of my favourite bands despite initially dismissing them years back. Odd.

I love "Tomorrow, In A Year", just for the fact it's so mindblowing and ridiculous yet really clever <3 I love "Deep Cuts" so much and I'm getting into Fever Ray a little bit, but I love The Knife so much it has to be said.

 Absolutely incredible band. One of those bands that I'd say have come to define my teenage years.

A proper new studio album next year too!
