Personally I don't agree with this whole NF business. Seems a bit unfair that people can "reserve" so many artists, although it doesn't affect me so I'm not that bothered. :heart:

As I said, there will be a rule put in place for the next contest after discussion, and the artists can be used after they've been knocked out of the NFs :P I just need to finish the semis and then 6 of those artists will be freed! ^_^

I'm in the position where I know exactly the song & artist I want to select as my entry. And that artist is rather popular and well known.

 

My country (Nonsuch) thread will announce the result of its internal panel decision to come up with the artist & song in the next 15/20 minutes.

 

But going forward I do think there needs to be a limit on how many songs countries have in their shortlist, especially with the numbers of countries increasing to no more than 5 or 6, otherwise things will get silly..

Maybe I should just wait until everybody's gone through the whole NF process then? Because otherwise I'll have no one to choose from.

Also, to make sure people aren't just trying to make sure artists aren't being used, there will be some sort of time limit on how long artists can be reserved for without a further announcement ;)

I think a maximum of four is more than enough. I don't see the point in it anyway, just pick someone FFS. :|
